It's sad that after 35 years it's come to this, but it's just the measure of my current apathy. An apathy brought on by successive years of mismanagement from the board, and the general couldn't give a :censored: attitude of players, managers, officials, and governing bodies that infests the modern game. I'll always be an Oldham fan. I'll never support any other team. I'll probably do a few aways just for the craic and the day out with the boys, but I can't see me ever getting the bug back that I used to have. Mick82 Posted January 3, 2016 Author Share Posted January 3, 2016 I've just found that its becoming a chore, every other saturday seems to roll round with the inevitable dread that I have to go to BP and watch Latics get beat / outplayed by teams who we should really be better than. I've seen 2 relegations with this, coupled with 17 years in this god awful league, with only the occasional glimps of light at the end of the tunnel. Credit were credits due, Corney and co saved us in our darkest hour, but like any relationship that goes sour, I think the time to seperate has long since come and gone, meaning we're at the current junction were both parties have lost interest. You sound like Barry in disguise or a dim witted 16 year old with nothing more in your life than porn and OAFC...the reality is there are hundreds of Oldham fans that have lost various degrees of interest. Some are at the stage of just looking out for scores as they come in on Sky Sports News others are interested in posting on here any maybe listening on LP others may attend games occasionally. The fact is they are all fans with various degrees of apathy and it is largely the clubs responsibility to re-engage them and encourage them to come back and start loving the club again. If they have your mindset the club will die, sadly football is a business in this day and age and the majority need to see a return in value for spending their hard earned.
