We've not conceded since he went off injured.

I do wonder if Shez is kicking himself for subscribing to the perceived wisdom that we must sign a CB & spunking what little budget he had on Gerrard rathe than a decent striker....

Maybe the Wilsons and Dieng could have been doing just fine all season had we been playing 20 yards further up the pitch and trying to win games..

Corney signing wasn't he? Although one Shez was no doubt happy enough to have on board.

From tonight's Chron....

The 29-year-old centre back hobbled off in pain at Wigan following an earlier collision, and didnt play three days later at Blackpool. Neither will he play in the home game against Gillingham on Saturday.

There are fears the ex-Cardiff and Huddersfield defender could be out for some time, but Sheridan is hopeful his player will be back soon.

On the flip side to this the only game we have won all calender year is the only one he has started and finished.

<< Sheridan has been cheered by news Anthony Gerrard’s knee injury isn’t as bad as it appeared. He could even be in contention to play tomorrow.

“It’s really good news,” Sheridan said. “It’s nothing serious, but we would rather he miss one or two than eight or nine. We have to make sure he’s right, but he hopefully he has a good chance of playing tomorrow.” >>
