100milesaway
Through all the mayhem, is anyone looking after the pitch,? just in case we end up playing again sometime in the near future.
GlossopLatic
A combination of the good weather and I assume someone is cutting it a couple of times a week shouldn't be too difficult adhering to social distancing doing that should mean its in good shape. But yeah their is far more important things to worry about right now.
laticsrblue
They should rent it out to a sheep farmer - that will bring in some income and keep it short and well fertilised. There isn't going to be any football played on it for a long time.

Hands on
Cutting the football pitch might not seem important. Cutting the Uppermill cricket square and grounds might not seem important. Cutting our bowling green might not seem important. Should we leave all three to return to a meadow and become unplayable? To fail to behave in a way which says we will get through this is important. Cutting this grass is one way to say yes there is an end in sight.

Exactly and it keeps someone busy/working which helps in the mental and physical aspect of the lock down, I really worry for people's mental health as much as the virus side of things. Dick_Valentine
Just out of interest, but who’s going to mow the pitch if all staff have been furloughed?
