Hemel latic
Indeed. Heart says Oldham win, head is really worried about Aldershot's new hotshot striker, adept at taking pot shots around the penalty area.

IanMarshall's Mullet
Hope I’m wrong and I was really positive prior to last week but I think it’s going to get worse before it gets better with these injuries and lack of recruitment in positions where we are clearly short. Aldershot win…….

Ritchierich
I have absolutely no idea what is going to happen tomorrow….nor, I suspect, does our manager!
Hemel latic
Bit surprised no one has come in this week so I think we'll line up as follows, 1-0 either way: Norman Hobson-Hogan-Raglan-Kitching Hope-Shelton-Sheron-Dickenson Norwood-Nuttall Subs: Hudson, Gardner, Reid, Fondop, Willoughby

Shelton to RB or the bench and Gardner just desperately launched in there after spending all summer protecting him. bc l need to keep my job. if lm rhino of course. which l'm not. just a fanboy. . Hemel latic
I did say it's how I expect us to line up. BUT folk need to remember we got plenty of good results earlier this year with that central midfield. I don't mind admitting I voted for Sheron for Player of the Year last season, he was our most consistent performer over the course of 22/23. They've come in for so much stick this week at least in part because of the formation played last Saturday which saw our midfield over run. There's clearly an argument for playing Gardner (whose reputation has grown somewhat as a result of not being involved last week) but I expect Rhino to stick with Sheron and Shelton in the middle of the park.

I like the cut of your jib Hemel. It’s not about personal- it’s about formation!

If he does it will piss off a lot of people…me included!! Couto, Gardner, Dickenson can’t be worse surely and either Shelton or Sheron if he has to, or could even go 433 with Reid or Willoughby coming in! Hemel latic
Cheers LOF, Our manager has said the contrary but I think it's a pretty simple game at this level (all levels?), you need to at least compete in the middle of the park and for that you need numbers. He used to be able do it but I think now he'd work better in a three these days. Dickenson and Couto are wide players, Couto in the past was far too lightweight to play centre mid. Defintley. The results back it up as well. A lot of the players last season couldn’t buy a win playing a formation with a 3 and 5 in it. Largely the same players suddenly turned it around and finished with the 3rd best form in league. So what changed. . The formation. Shelton and Sutton will be fine as a stop gap as long as they’re played in a 442.

We also had Rooney, who played himself into a bit of form before Unsworth fell out with him. Don’t think we’ll see him tomorrow somehow. I think we’ll win, and again on Tuesday. We need two good performances though as well, to get people off his back (for a while at least) and not grinding out a couple of narrow wins like last year.
