Watch us go and win there in front of 150 Latics fans. Seriously though, what a shambles this is

Our shambles or the league’s shambles?

You’d expect whoever initially piped up with the Chesterfield plan to have been led off to the bottom block, but only Latics could agree to that. What a shit show. If Chesterfield have got anything about them, they’ll have print offs of James Norwood and his pre season ‘let’s go win the league’ nonsense stuck up all over the gaff. Can’t think of anything worse. Halifax have pissed us about long enough with this fixture. Playing at chesterfield is a joke, 100 mile round trip. Get a refund so it costs Halifax  more to host this fixtur

Exactly what me and son are doing.

Stuff the lot of 'em

From a relatively cursory examination of league rules the only possible sanction for Halifax if they hadn't been able to fulfil the fixture at all is a fine of between £2,500 and £10,000.  They do have an obligation to have a pitch that is fit for purpose but there is no specific sanction for not doing so.  The rules in that section are more about the pitch  itself rather than its condition at any particular time.

Surely with the better weather Halifax pitch will be just fine on Thursday?.

It's almost as if both clubs dont want any fans there which is shocking really.

They can't really take the chance though given the stage of the season

Both clubs? I get the criticism for Latics for many things, but this is nothing to do with us!

So we haven't agreed to it? Surely we can object to the decision then?.

Object all you like but if the league have the final say you have to get on with  it.

The league would just tell is to get on with the game if we objected.

Exactly. Game needs to be Thursday next week, no ifs or buts. It’s not up to us in anyway to find alternative arrangements. We may well have objected, but what else can they do? MM was complaining about the situation in his pre-match presser for yesterday, so i’m pretty sure we’ve expressed our dissatisfaction with the situation.

What next shall we complain about and blame the club for? I think it’s a disgrace we are having to play at 12:15 on Saturday to be honest, and it’s the clubs fault we are having to play our 3rd consecutive Saturday home game at dinner time! MM out!

It's not costing Halifax a penny. Calderdale council are covering it all, even the refunds process...
