  1. I live 9 miles from Chester bought ticket in away end no problem with my home address
  2. Chester away would be great for me as live 20 minutes away
  3. Stainrod my hero too. Still remember his brilliant goal at Blackburn on debut
  4. Stainrod at Blackburn was brilliant, even better because I think it was his debut and given our terrible record there before that game
  5. Neither could I, have been going since 1970 and can't think of a worse one
  6. Terrible record made worse for me as my brother and nephew are MK season ticket holders. Only good thing was we all went to game at hockey stadium when Luke Beckett nearly broke the net!
  7. Went with a Tranmere supporting mate who was really impressed by our performance. Yes we should have won but given our record there it is a good point and always thought they were going to sneak an undeserved winner as they have done a few times before against us
  8. Make that 1349 as living on the Wirral had to get ticket for Main stand
  9. Agree, these were possibly 2 of our harder games this season and have to see some positives in not losing either
  10. Remember getting to BP about usual time and as was nearly full by 2.15 having to stand in RRE with West Brom fans. Thought that they were a real dirty team, didn't Alan Groves get clattered every time he got the ball and went off injured in the first 15 mins?
  11. 1970-71 v Chesterfield , who were top of the league. I would have been 8 years old. Won 1-0, think Jim Fryatt scored the goal
  12. Didn't he do the same in Anglo Scottish cup final, or is my memory going now !
  13. And those who thought the Plymouth game on Tuesday wasn't important could be wrong now Charlton may not play full strength team
  14. Could definitely do with Plymouth winning tonight - as can't rely on our own result on Saturday
  15. Yes we definitely need to support Plymouth on Tuesday
  16. Agree, looks like ref at Oxford today may end up saving us !
  17. Think could turn out very well in our favour, not playing on a Saturday without Doyle. Also when we play them Southend may have nothing to play for.
  18. I was at all 3 of these Merseyside games and having lived in Formby til I was 8 in 1970 they were special games. Was behind the goal at Bower Fold when George Jones scored and remember being scared to be hit in face too as were so near the pitch. Also walking down Scarisbrick Road on Easter Monday from my Grandad's in Southport, never heard such noise before, and from fans of my team! Great Days, or am I just being sentimental?
