  1. They've discovered oil underneath the training ground and the club is going to be very rich
  2. I think the most useful thing on the scoreboard used to be the clock keeping track of time during the game
  3. Either that or the occasional Montano chant
  4. Best goal: Winchester vs Swindon Best Team Performance: Liverpool in cup, MK Dons in the League Best Win: Liverpool in the cup, Bury away in the League Best Moment: Matt Smith 94th minute vs Everton Best signing: Korey Smith Most improved player: James Tarkowski Worst Signing: Chris Iwelumo Worst refereeing performance: that two hat vs Rotherham Worst refereeing moment: The Rugby tackle on Robbie Simpson not given vs Sheff Utd Worst team performance: Notts County on the Tuesday prior to the Liverpool game Most irritating manager: Steve Evans Biggest shock: that 6 minute spell at the City Ground
  5. Like with most of the fans, I clapped him when he went up for his first corner and clapped him at the end. Singing his name during the game was going a little too far. The way I see it we'd probably be a League Two side if it wasn't for him
  6. It sounds to me as if those who wanted a ticket have got one
  7. The way I do my 92 list, I class it as clubs I've visited rather than grounds
  8. I don't know this one, lets hope it stays this way
  9. Question is did anyone turn up at Mansfield without a ticket?
  10. I believe the ticket kiosk next to the away end where we've bought tickets for previous fixtures has closed down. Plus SYP will probably want to know how many fans the locals intend to attack outside the ground at the end of the match
  11. The thing about Saturday was that it wasn't the best and it was a fixture we really needed to get something from. But in terms of the performance it has been similar to a number of matches we won this season. At Shrewsbury they scored from a mistake and nearly scored from another made at the back. But when we had clear-cut chances we took them. I think at present bar maybe a couple of teams this league is wide open
  12. seeing as JCH is suspended on Saturday, to the tune of Chesney Hawkes Adam the only Rooney, there's no other we'd rather see Adam the only Rooney, will he score two or maybe three
  13. The only time that happened was when we played Blackpool in the play-offs
  14. I found out about it too late too, I'm a bit frustrated but like has been said, the club did advertise it and at least it's on TV I suppose.
  15. My take http://dontshootfromtheregary.blogspot.co.uk/2013/12/were-still-here.html
  16. you must be of a rare breed, I've seen a few shockers at Vale Park
  17. Bradford x3 That is all excluding grounds I've only visited once
  18. Barnsley under Ronnie Moore was pretty bad, 4-0 down after 10 minutes and one of our players flashing the V's at some of our fans. But Norwich away under Penney sticks out in my mind, it took nearly 6 hours to get there, then we barely registered a shot on goal
  19. I think last year they learnt from the previous season when we were at Anfield Besides, IF we do beat Mansfield, I have a hunch that we won't completely sell-out
  20. if we get to the 3rd Round, I hope I get a better seat than the horrendous seats we got last time
  21. I've edited my post, I just wish there were more young players coming through
  22. From a Latics point of view it could be a good, thing but it could be potentially disaterous From the point of view of the game as a whole I don't like the way clubs like City have developed a ridiculous stockpile of talent which in my opinion is ruining the game and I believe is part of the reason why our National team is struggling to bring players through because young players would rather take the money and play in these EDS squads at a big club than establish themselves playing first team Football. I want to see a fair competition, if these super rich clubs are loaning all their players out, then my fear is that it would defeat the object of the remaining 85 or so clubs developing their own players. The last thing we want to see is the super rich clubs having a hold on the sport in general. If they set up affiliate clubs in the lower leagues, it could make things a little bit healthier, but I want to see a level playing field.
