  1. I've only been wrong once, that's when I thought I was wrong and found out I was right later !!
  2. It would be an incredible leap of faith to appoint Pete as our next permanent manager. He's no experience of working with 1st team pros other than the last three matches and quite rightly is concerned for his long term employment prospects should he take the job. However he's done amazingly well so far, which often happens when a manager is sacked, so for me, unless we have an adequate replacement, he could continue to the end of this season.
  3. Get home supporters back in Chaddy and build new bar/club under there !
  4. Thought Sam was pretty good. He works for the Club, he's not Woodward or Bernstein whom you seem to want.
  5. We're a mid table League 2 side with no discernible money why should we expect anyone with pedigree to be interested ?
  6. Hope there's no compound interest attached to that debt.
  7. Not very tall admittedly but has a great leap in him and plays the game like a colossus !
  8. Agree that less tolerant refs could have seen him sat in the stands a little more but has grasped his chance with both hands. His form has improved dramatically since Gardner's sidelining and his surges forward have added greatly to his defensive qualities. It just goes to show that no-one is indispensable and players can step up if given the chance, which makes some posters instant assessment of players even more ludicrous.
  9. Well Done to the team - Well Done to all supporters there - a credit to our Town.
  10. Not seen pen but VAR is a shambles - will only be called upon to favour big teams !
  11. Who said he was hopeless ? I'm guessing no one, but I'll admit he's improved as the season's progressed. To my mind could become a Championship player if he was a little braver in the box and am pleased he's re-signed.
  12. Legend is as Legend does. I think it's much overused these days but if our younger supporters want to label Clarke with the accolade then they're well entitled to in my eyes. One thing that can't be argued is the "old fashioned" professionalism and leadership he constantly shows. This was epitomised by the bear hug he gave young Robinson, making his debut, at full time on Tuesday which was great to see.
  13. You don't see many of them knocking about nowadays..........at least I don't !
  14. You can't overestimate the stupidity of some people.
  15. Just goes to show what greedy bastards the bookies are.........priced Raheem Sterling up to score a hat trick in a World Cup match ??????????
  16. Yes he did have a poor-ish game. Before kick-off I noticed he was wretching a little, so may have been off colour. He ball watches a bit too much and loses his man but remains a good prospect.
