Suppose they may think that someone with vast experience as a player and manager who's well respected in the game may be useful on their board.

For me he seems to want to do a trick or turn before he passes which costs us momentum. He doesn't tackle as such, just dangles a leg most of the time. Having said that he's certainly worth his place in the squad and probably the team with the options we've had until this week.

Whilst admitting last night's result, or manner of it, counts for little I've noticed a few posters are keeping their heads down, at least on here.

Well said Glossop. I've not experienced what some on here have but do know someone who has and will readily admit I'm not a great listener. Irrespective of whether you're able to assist sufferers or not we could all be a bit nicer and tolerant to people who don't see the World exactly as we do.

Agreed but someone who plays is more culpable than someone who doesn't. Isn't that how it works ?

From the bits I've seen of Gerrard this season he wouldn't have a field day against me !

Think if you take the last 2 draws in context they don't seem too bad. Mind you taking things in context is nigh on impossible for some on here. However if we continue drawing we will lose touch with the league's pacesetters so a more positive attitude must be taken. We seem to be leaving Nepo out to accommodate Lang who should start inside if Surridge remains unfit for Saturday. Frankie may have been playing the two big lads up top to cause least disruption to the team until Surridge returns, at least that's what I hope !

If he isn't playing it is pretty relevant.

Just going off what I've witnessed in our home games.

Don't think chasing upboats is driving his posts, in fact quite the opposite !

How many after he spit his dummy out ? Admittedly he had a purple patch early in the season including putting a couple of rebounds from poorly taken penalties but in my eyes if someone can't be bothered putting the effort in for my team, for whatever reason, I can't be bothered supporting them.

In the matches I've seen this season it's the opposition who've been hanging on in the last quarter of an hour not us, so it looks to me as if our squad are very fit. The fact that one player is plagued by a couple of niggles is symptomatic of his fitness, not the whole team's. Perhaps he needs special treatment to enable him to play regularly.

I was looking forward to seeing if he could fulfill his potential on his return but it depends whether he's up for working with, and buying into the new regime and it's ethos. Whatever happens wish him the best as he seems to have had a pretty rough time with one thing and another.

We do seem a lot more durable this season which will stand us in good stead should it continue. Just hope we can maintain this for the whole season, which will be difficult, possibly aided by a couple of loan signings in the new year to freshen the squad up.
