Latics_est_86 Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Will we ever see the good old days of a scorboard again when this stand is built, those hands clapping on screen "Come on Oldham" flashing" on the cold dark winter tuesday nights again! Brings back some good old memories............... Quote

Latics_est_86 Posted December 31, 2013 Author Posted December 31, 2013 A little more elaboration would of been nice though ha! Quote
Dave_Og Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Personally I have never had a problem keeping count Quote

Schlieb Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 I'd love to see it back to be honest. Nice to get a photo of it when we get a good win too. I still have a photo on my phone of the city win, brings a smile to my face when scanning through photos lol Quote

pistonbroke Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Bring back the old clock on the floodlights in between, ford stand and rochdale road end Quote
PlayItLivo Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 I heard we're getting Aston Villa's old scoreboard. Quote
JohnnyPimp Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 It used to matter before smart 'phones. Nostalgia trip at best now. Quote
NewBlue Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 (edited) It used to matter before smart 'phones. Nostalgia trip at best now. This is true, but wouldn't it have been good to have a picture of the scoreboard displaying 'Oldham 3-2 Liverpool' after that win... Was PlayItLivo's comment in jest or are we actually going to have their scoreboard? It'd be a kind gesture if a Premier League club was to donate theirs to us (that makes us sound awfully tinpot). PlayItLivo Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Aye, the scoreboard from Villa seemed to be a common rumour that went round JKLatics circa 2005. Quote
c.hill12 Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 It used to matter before smart 'phones. Nostalgia trip at best now. A scoreboard would be a useful marketing tool. Especially with the new exec boxes in the stand. Quote

Tommy_Fent Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 I think the most useful thing on the scoreboard used to be the clock keeping track of time during the game Quote
c.hill12 Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 If a scoreboard could pay its way as a marketing tool, we'd have had one years ago.You mean like a fourth stand with offices and conferencing facilities? Quote
Lags Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Aye, the scoreboard from Villa seemed to be a common rumour that went round JKLatics circa 2005. Was that not Arsenal? Quote
jorvik_latic Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Not sure about the rumour on JK, but the screen we were offered was from Villa and it definitely wasn't a rumour. I guess we didn't install it due to costs and the uncertainty of Failsworth etc. Quote
OLDHAMADE Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Bring back the old clock on the floodlights in between, ford stand and rochdale road end You must be as old as I lol Quote
Monty Burns Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Yes it definately was not a rumour, Corney said he had purchased it and had it in storage. There was an attempt at raising funds to intall it too, but we fans just piffed at such a suggestion. Quote
