Crusoe
I'd have been buzzing had we signed him before he scored none in 16 for Southend. I hope we 're still after a first choice number 9 Not unless we're mugging someone to take one of our many existing strikers off our hands. Nobody will pay much (or anything) for them, so it's wasted wages and, in the case of Murphy and Poleon, wasted fees. Reckon we should be trying to get the best out of them rather than spending more money on more strikers and binning them when they don't immediately score. NewBlue
He's either a poor player who once had a purple patch, or a good player who has struggled lately. Hope he's the latter but he could well be the former. These are the chances we have to take under the budget the club works under. Lots of young strikers now. A bit of dynamism. Surely one will emerge as the main man through competition.
NewBlue
5 goals in his last 106 games is ominous though
Twisbrogan
From what I've read, he suffered a bit through injury & playing as an occasional lone striker at Southend. As far as I'm concerned, that he's performed at this level before and is still young, is enough for me. If he's done it once, he can do it again & it's now up to the coaching staff to make sure he performs again.
josh_latics
5 goals in his last 106 games is ominous though Nay qualms, we've signed Crofty who's a natural goalscorer. Still pretty confident, mind. Top 2 is ON.
Keepingthe Faith
We need a back to goal forward player, who brings others into the attack and links play................. Hopefully this is he. Good luck Jake
PlayItLivo
5 goals in his last 106 games is ominous thoughWhere have you got that from? Soccer base has him at 86 league apps and 20 goals scored. And he's still only 22. Edit - Wikipedia is wrong. Chris Richard
Decent signing. More of a striker to hold the ball up similar to Jabo last year.

Twitter. It might not be totally accurate but his record in his last 60 odd games minimum is still very poor.
jw_oldh857
not many goals for them yet but croft, green an Cassidy are attack minded. hope Darren kelly gets all the luck in the world
mikeroyboy
Also, did some of you decide a while back to be disproportionately excited with every signing this summer regardless of who it is?Not really. Everyone on here puts what pops into their heads with no effort at all. Excitement , fear and dreams are a prerequisite to getting through the summer, no harm will be done. Its Mr Kelly, who is the man with a plan. All aboard., here we go again.
welshgaz
Pleased with this. About right for our budget and he will have a point to prove. Still no talk of our better players moving on either.
jburbri
He's 22 so time to improve, I'd be worried if he was 32 and had that record. Get him fit and firing and he maybe the perfect foil for our other strikers.
Gaz_Oafc
"The manager is full of enthusiasm and has told me what he expects from me next season. When he spoke to me, I instantly thought I want to play for this manager as he can bring confidence back into my game and then get the best out of me." Sounds promising. Stagger Lee
We have had better strikers come here and fail If they don't get the supply no striker will succeed - Hopefully the new Green Croft of Boundary park will let him bloom.

Midsblue
Got a good feeling about this one. Point to prove, dropped by Wolves and looking to prove his worth with Oldham. It's about time we had some success with a striker after Rooney and some of the others who have come and gone. We should have been more patient with Rooney especially has he's since proved his worth at Aberdeen. Just need to shore up that defence now and exercise the loan system with those Prem teams; another striker, midfielder and defender - all preferably at no cost to us
bigfatjoe1
We don't really need another striker. A goalkeeper, three centre backs and another holding midfielder = playoffs. We have huge attacking potential. Cassidy backed up by croft, green and forte could be really exciting, wiith jones and kelly/his replacement behind. Add the four youngsters and we have a squad. For the playoffs we need five more. I doubt we can afford it.
LaticsLegend
I have a feeling we'll sign one centre half and if we're really lucky one centre half and one utility player then we're done for the summer.
