Crusoe
I'm worried. I don't want the club to spiral into lavish, extravagant spending without someone at the helm. God, we could end up sacking manager after manager and fighting off relegation!
yarddog73
Can't begrudge anybody a step up, ambitious forward thinking club with a supportive owner who are only going to move in one direction, no brainer really.

palmer1
Stepping up to the Northern Premier!? Give me a break... A pay rise with more freedom to work at a growing club. More freedom than at a football League 1 club possibly but it's no step up! Definite step down in stature with far less pressure. No matter what the situation some of can't wait put a boot to club. Always the same ones, If it's all so terrible stop 'supporting' it. You'll be much happier. Edited September 15, 2016 by palmer1

yarddog73
Said it tongue in cheek, you could say Fleetwood where in a similar position to Fylde, winning the Conference in 11/12 Fylde will be the next non league team to pass us by, its a club with an excellent infra structure and a chairman with a clear vision for the future unlike the clown were lumbered with. Extract from Fylde's website where Joy gives his first interview, "David Haythornthwaite has set out a clear vision of how he wants the organisation to progress, his enthusiasm and determination to succeed ultimately persuaded me that is was time to use my experience in the world of professional football to help him and everyone who has a stake at AFC Fylde, to achieve his vision". Hardly a ringing endorsement of our illustrious leader if he sees an opportunity at a Conference North team as too good to turn down. I think that your sense of humour has gone walkabouts. I see this as an opportunity to improve the infrastructure Edited September 15, 2016 by ChaddySmoker
adamoafc
Sounds like he jumped before he was pushed. Think our next appointment needs to be full of experience at this level and has the enthusiasm to help push the club forward with their contacts in the game. Doesn't sound like joy had any.
