Forte_Baby
Last month before the friendly against Flyde we had a look At there new ground and set up. Puts a fair few Football League clubs to shame. However in the long run as mentioned on here earlier there far to much of A simliar sized club to Fleetwood. Don't see a massive increase in ther crowds happening. Although a few pissed of Blackburn & Blackpool fans may be tempted to watch while Oyston & Venkys run there clubs under. ChaddySmoker
Sounds like he jumped before he was pushed. Think our next appointment needs to be full of experience at this level and has the enthusiasm to help push the club forward with their contacts in the game. Doesn't sound like joy had any. What makes you say that? Are you just speculating?
steveoafc
I think with just a couple of exceptions, the club needed gutting from top to bottom. We had stagnated at best and there was only one way we were heading. Let's get some fresh ideas on board and hopefully some bodies in with a vision to kick start us. boundaryblue80
Pursuing growth is always more fun than maintaining stagnation. True. Yet Shez got ripped to shreds for that * * Should the plan thereafter fail is merely hindsight (and could happen at Fylde.) Stevie_J
So Bazza to get the gig? Or would another Corney apologist suit? Appointing Barry would be a great way for Corney to stick two fingers up to the fans. But I'd think Anthony Gee or Anna Kocerhan are more likely candidates. jimsleftfoot
Said it tongue in cheek, you could say Fleetwood where in a similar position to Fylde, winning the Conference in 11/12 Fylde will be the next non league team to pass us by, its a club with an excellent infra structure and a chairman with a clear vision for the future unlike the clown were lumbered with. Extract from Fylde's website where Joy gives his first interview, "David Haythornthwaite has set out a clear vision of how he wants the organisation to progress, his enthusiasm and determination to succeed ultimately persuaded me that is was time to use my experience in the world of professional football to help him and everyone who has a stake at AFC Fylde, to achieve his vision". Hardly a ringing endorsement of our illustrious leader if he sees an opportunity at a Conference North team as too good to turn down. And they have a fantastic supporters bar!!! nzlatic
Other clubs manage it We might even still do it. Never know, could hit the dizzying heights of the top half this season!
boundaryblue80
Other clubs manage it 5yrs ago this week Bournemouth were 2nd bottom of League One. They were on their arse. Fans and Chairman at loggerheads. This all before they did get some reasonable investment when in the Championship. The rest is history. oafcprozac
Personally I'd prefer an outsider with contacts who can the run club properly like an out and out well established Football League Club of 121 years standing - not like the Dog and Duck...
