adamoafc
Was thinking about the rumours with swindon being taken over by Red Bulls and if we were in that position would fans support it?
the_mighty_bosh
How much is our identity worth? Hard to put a value on it, but to me it'll always be worth more than changing our name to Red Bulls.
GlossopLatic
Just been on Sky Sports News that it isn't happening. Companies can plaster their name across football teams stadiums/kit without having to change a teams name. So yeah buy us just don't change the name some things remain sacred. adamoafc
Playing in white and red no more blue? They always change the name so doubt it they would leave things as they are. Would love the investment just not sure it would feel like our club anymore
Oafc88
It would be hard to see it allowed to happen considering the FA (doing something useful for a change) knocked back Hull's request to change "City" to "Tigers". Personally I wouldnt want it but its easier saying that without it being an actual offer. Edited November 10, 2016 by Oafc88
NewBlue
Might as well support another club
BP1960
With our goal scoring record this may be more apt;
mcfluff1985
We want investment. But not that kind of investment. We want to play at Wembley. But not in that competition.
GlossopLatic
We want investment. But not that kind of investment. We want to play at Wembley. But not in that competition. Yes, Yes I'm comfortable with thinking like that.

HarryBosch
I'd be ok with it. Nobody who matters will use the name just like they don't say Sports Direct Dot Com Park. Red Bull would eventually leave at which point we'd change back to Oldham Athletic amid great fanfare just in time for our Champions League debut... real
We want investment. But not that kind of investment. We want to play at Wembley. But not in that competition. We want a better stadium. But not in Milton Keynes
OldhamSheridan
Whip their arms off. Colour of the strip to match the can: Blue and light silver. Piles of money to get the side promoted. Alright a slight change in name isn't great, but at some point there has to be some give. I sometimes wonder what people are expecting in terms of investment. This is the best that could ever come our way.

Twisbrogan
For even the hope that we might get some excitement & success, they could change what they want for the duration of the deal. Put wings on the kit if they want.
the_mighty_bosh
To me the name of the club is important and shouldn't be changed lightly, but I can understand why people would be happy enough as long as it still represents Oldham. youngen
Are Oldham Athletic not supposed to be the identity of the town? Surely Special Brew would be a more ideal take over brand
NewBlue
Instead of the old beer barrell on the Lees kits, would we have a Red Bull and a pair of winged lapels?
