mickjagger
His record is appalling he is creating the wrong records, question is how on earth has he not been sacked?
NewBlue
All hinges on the Mansfield game, lose that and he goes, win and there might just be a few quid in the kitty for him. Surely not. I'd be scared if Corney's judgement on whether or not to trust the competence of a manager relied on the result of a game in the JPT. Has a manager ever been sacked after a game in that competition ?

Once we've lost it we've lost it - sacking him won't give us more to spend, surely. Lincoln was bigger and we blew that big time... Whether we win or not against Mansfield won't tell us much about Robinson we don't already know.
stevesidg
Mansfield is 10th January, which would not leave much time for a new manager to review the current players and pick up any new ones, unless someone is lined up in advance of that and is preparing already? RichardOafc
We persuaded Matty Palmer and Main and Holloway last season. The right players will be available anyone know the situation with main and hollaway, I havnt noticed them playing regularly since they went? There's nothing much to review really, most of them aren't up to it.

There's nothing to suggest he is badly out of his depth or has lost the dressing room, progression in the cup will be seen as crucial though with the rewards on offer. Okay. If we go out we can't get back in with a new manager... What would be the point of sacking a manager that you thought was capable just because he lost a single match? Mansfield won't be a hinge. Your logic is wrong. Corney won't think that way. Edited December 28, 2016 by NewBlue

leeslover
I'm inclining towards thinking that any money available needs to go on players. If we had spare cash to give to a new manager that would do nicely but we don't.
yarddog73
I'm inclined to think any money will go towards paying bills and clearing the debt which put us under an embargo, Corney hasn't won the lottery in the last month has he? If not we've no pot to piss in (still).
philliggi
Has a manager ever been sacked after a game in that competition ? Correct me if I'm wrong. I may well be but didn't Moore sack Ritchie having just won a jpt game? Think he had lost the previous
disjointed
anyone know the situation with main and hollaway, I havnt noticed them playing regularly since they went? Holloway is out injured (one of them season long injuries), Main was on the bench the last I saw.
Magister
Well is the embargo being lifted or not? There are 2 banking days left before January 1st......I can't believe we don't know whether we are transferring £ 300k or not. Perhaps in his new spirit of openness Mr Corney could tell us? nzlatic
HMRCNot paying that has other consequences doesn't it? I thought the embargo was for not paying ticket money across. And didn't that figure include our own wage bill? Edited December 28, 2016 by nzlatic

The 300k is nothing to do with the embargo, that was HMRC and will have been paid I would assume as that would lead to a winding up order. Our football creditors will have been receiving funds deducted out of our monthly income from the League and may be close to paid off by now (but we have probably incurred some more debt now though). Magister
Not a red herring. Football League rules state that unpaid HMRC bills automatically invoke transfer embargo..cf Notts County

Holloway started the last match and was subbed after 46 minutes. Main didn't figure at all.
