Chelsea will be bought out by some other rich person either from the US or Middle East and it will happen fairly quickly. Guarantee they will have new owners before we do and it will be business as usual

How do you work that out when Abromovich is banned from selling it or at least in a way where he profits.

Therefore why would he sell - or pay wages he could quite easily just stop the lot and let it burn

Maybe so but only if he can prove he makes nothing from the sale.

My understanding is that is an asset which is sanctioned and he cannot sell, so he cannot sell, so no new owners. Thats why he has tried to hand it over to the supporters group and not make any claim for finance from future money. They cant sell a shirt, pie or pint for profit or it will be siezed

He can sell it providing he doesn't profit from it. He was giving the money to charity anyway so providing he doesn't take any money from the sale it will still go ahead. The government will be keen to facilitate a sale.

And some prominent MPs are Chelsea fans so they claim.

Usual backwashing I think?

He cannot sell it under any circumstances as it stands right now.

He can according to the government providing he doesn't take any of the money. Otherwise the government are effectively putting Chelsea out of business because whatever cash they have in the bank will only last so long and without his money (which is now frozen) the club would go into liquidation. The government will allow a sale.

What I don't understand is a government official said Abramovich can't profit from it - forgive me but he's never taken a profit from Chelsea, he put £1.5 billion in. Now i know it could be "dirty" money but it still doesn't make sense to punish Chelsea. Hundreds if not thousands of people are employed by the club and they shouldn't suffer. The government will see this and allow a sale providing no funds are transferred to Abramovich.

If his assets are seized the govt guatantee wages for players and staff are stlll paid

Club can pay players and staff

The club will still be allowed to pay the wages of its players and coaching staff.

It will also be able to pay for the costs necessary for hosting fixtures at its home ground, including security, catering and stewarding, up to £500,000.

The club will not be able to spend any money on new works or refurbishments.

The government don't guarantee anything. It means they can use any revenue that comes in (which is very restricted now) and any money they have in the bank. The players wages bill is £28 million per month so that will soon run dry.
