Would have said 1-1, but just seen they've signed that useless turnip Whelan. 3-1 Oldham win...

So, after Martin’s red card on Saturday, they should be able to name just 4 subs again including their manager.
Still, it's an improvement on the number they managed at our place last Tuesday.

Fondop available for this one after his three match ban.

Our record in the games without him:

P3 W2 D1 F8 A4

Hopefully Shelton is fit.

Norman

Sutton, Yarney, Hogan, Kitching

Shelton, Sheron, Rooney, Tollitt

Reid, Nuttall

Hudson, Clarke, Green, Fondop, Abraham

Assuming that's P Clarke on the bench is he available after rumoured bust up?

Massive Nutall fan but I'd perhaps throw Fondop in to give JN a much deserved rest. Let Fondop gas out on 50mins as usual and then bring on Nutall if we need a goal.

If Shelton is injured one attacking change would be Rooney centre mid and the new winger in on the right, Toilet left.

I would love a win tonight, it's obviously going to be another frustrating game of sit back and try the counter attack. Whelan, if he starts, will probably be their star player and boss the game because he is playing against Latics. Realistically, a draw with the possibility of a piss-boil-inducing "sack him now!" loss. Hopefully Shelton is fit and we don't have to rely on Chapman.

A win tomorrow  would make it an excellent  70th birthday present for me .

Here's hoping.

Happy Birthday Pal - I am only 3 years behind you - but supporting Latics for 60 plus years - now that's a life sentence!

Hope you enjoy the next 30 years and that we are back where we belong soon.:peepwall:.

Enjoy your cake and have a pint on me.

Kind Regards - Brian.

Looking at the starting lineup a midfield diamond probably makes sense there playing with Sheron holding, Shelton and Chapman slightly higher as more box to box CMs, Rooney in the 10

But the reality is likely Chapman RM, Rooney LM and going more defensive than Tollitt. Guessing he's going to play for a point
