"The club would like to advise supporters that the scoreboard fund has not been redirected."

30th March. So I'm going to conservatively say that the boards were on the way in January, but we hadn't paid the deposit until after they were installed.

For avoidance of doubt, there's no need for anyone who thought that that statement made the Trust look stupid to issue a retraction :tongue1:

Confirmation in tonight's chron that the scoreboard fans money was used for the deposit on the perimeter boards.

so if the club are offering refunds and worse case scenario, we all want our monies back or spent on another fan funded initiative  like the Jimmy Frizzell stand, then it's a possible £22k hit the club will have to absorb.

Read it again. It doesn't confirm anything. "It is our understanding" . They can believe what they want just like everyone on here does. Doesn't make it fact.

Thought Simon said it was ringfenced? Bit naughty really when you look at how it all panned out.

How do you know it wasn't ringfenced? Ah thats right, because whatever the club says is bollocks, but a company giving their opinion on what they believe happened is out and out irrefutable evidence in your world

Maybe Simon chucked a pile of cash through the window of an accelerating DeLorean earlier this year. That would explain club statements clearly contradicting each other

Aren't you doing exactly the same, only the other way round?

Maybe you don't know what's what

Having read your tiresome one dimensional posts for several months on several topics it is clear that anybody making an assessment about the value of your contributions could use your quote above to describe them , but they would have to drop the "maybe"!

Remember when people could disagree on issues and not act like children? We all want is best for the club, those who dislike and distrust SC have a right to express their views without being considered doom mongers, those who support him have a right to as well.

Those who are supporting him, carry on doing so, but do not be immune to asking questions, is not possible the money dried up long ago and now we really feeling the pinch?

Those who want him gone, is it not possible that he has done his best but made mistakes rather being an asset stripper and about to drive us out of business due to greed?

Not sure your last 2 paragraphs provide the balance and contrast you hoped? Both describe  benevolence overtaken by circumstances?  There are several other reasonable but unproven alternatives

Yes of course, there is also the chance that he is nothing more than our worst possible nightmares. My overall point is about the pissing contest that seems to be developing on every thread, also felt the is it possible part of the questions did no require me to put every possible option.

are you sure? Yes first paragraph spot on......2nd and 3rd paragraphs both provide the same defence though and invite readers of both views to adopt a no blame view of the Chairman. .....which could of course be the legitimate scenario

With letting ourselves get to the point where a WUP has been issued (we're given plenty of notice to sort this), it's not just the HMRC debt which can be taken into account.

Getting a bit worried about the timing, if others have jumped on board, when does the season 'officially' end?

Dont want points deductions after the last game.

I could be wrong but, it might be when the play offs have been completed is that June time?

Posted a bit info from today's programme in another thread.

I don't say much on here about the running of the club, but my thoughts are this.

Dislike the man all you want, that's fair enough, we're all entitled to our opinions and we're all Latics fans at the end of it all. But come out with accusation after accusation to Simon Corney, and don't back it up with solid evidence and/or a no strings attached meeting with the chairman, then I have no time for you.

With love and good intentions, enjoy the game, keep the faith,

- Simon B :)

Gillingham facing a winding up petition. Move to be struck off. Fuller details will be made tommorow.

It was reported in one of the National papers yesterday ( can't remember which as I read several whilst waiting for a flight) that Bolton are soon to be issued with a winding up petition over a debt of £5 million owed to a company called Bluemarble Capital.

I think that is the loan made to Houldsworth so he could 'finance' his part of the deal.   Bolton have to go up or they are in serious trouble.
