Ive no idea what the mutual termination is, but surely as a young player he was a sellable asset?! These sort of decisions are always bizarre to me. Sure there was some interest in January in him?

Only if somebody wants to pay money for him. Nothing in his recent form suggested that was likely. So, we keep him and pay a (presumably) large wage, or agree a settlement to end the contract early. Not surprised.

Didn't Lincoln want him in January? Then there was was some (alleged) shenanigans between our glorious leader and Hunt's agent, which pretty much ended his chances here. If that's true and that's how he was treated, no wonder his form dipped. He couldn't have been a happy camper.

Higher? League 1 at absolute best IF he pulls his finger out.  Bang average league 2 player based on last season.

Not sure he was happy in the North to be fair to him.

Quite liked Hunt early days thinking he was playing out of position on the left but he didn't push on when played on the right and you didn't need to be Mystic Meg to see this happening.

Don't know if it was just a clash of personalities with the owner ( which would obviously be the favourite excuse ) or that he lacked a bit of character to ignore his dispute and perform on the pitch when selected.

Whatever the reason he had a poor season overall and has been a major disappointment.

Yep. His agent was touting him around for a move. AL got wind of it and stopped managers from playing him. Could have carried on playing him and sold him on, now we've had to release him and cost us more.

Nay, nay and thrice nay, this can't be true. He said he didn't interfere with team selection.

At least we are coming to mutual agreements with players as opposed to firing them if they fart in the dressing room resulting in them taking us to employment tribunals, it might actually represent progress that we've parted terms in an honourable fashion.

Hunt was excellent when we had him on loan. A big disappointment when we signed him permanently and particularly poor last season - too lightweight. Been one of his biggest critics of late but I do actually think he's better than this league (he showed he was when on loan). As someone else has said, maybe he hasn't settled up north - such things can throw people off their game. A good move for both parties.
