  1. Yes, Dummigan can't be recalled. Palmer could be recalled anytime after the first 28 days of his most recent loan agreement.
  2. Not good at all. Think we'll miss his calmness and composure on the ball. Looking on the bright side, I was equally concerned by the loss of Holloway but we haven't looked like we miss him yet.
  3. I'm sure I read somewhere that refs have a choice as to when they add on time for injuries in the first half. I.e they can choose to add it on at the end of the first half or the end of the match. That might explain what happened yesterday.
  4. He got sponsors man of the match today. Thought it was his best home performance for a long time. Made a couple of good saves first half and didn't put a foot wrong all game.
  5. As he admits himself, his predictions may be affected by his "Fylde tinted glasses". I don't think his editor would have published the article if he had predicted that either Blackpool or Fleetwood would go down.
  6. Reading the article, it sounds like this is another outlet for Warnock's feud with Johnson senior. Can't see that LJ has said anything too controversial. In fact I'm sure Warnock himself has said similar things on numerous occasions.
  7. And we will be much more motivated to get him fit before the end of the season than Wycombe would.
  8. Agree they looked good on the ball first half but thought they faded in the second half and were not as good as the Swindon team who played here last season (and also lost).
  9. He's not perfect by any means, but his commitment and effort is as good as I can remember from a loan player. Hopefully the goal will give him the confidence to kick on and score a few more.
  10. I just got the impression from Shez's interview ( though he didn't say it outright) that Forte and Main will start up front and Cassidy will be on the bench.
  11. Matt Chambers tweeted that Shez expects both to be out for up to 4 weeks, making them available for the last game of the season.
  12. Always very welcoming to all new members of Junior Latics and extremely hard working. RIP.
  13. I think the best April Fools jokes are the ones where you aren't quite sure if it's true or not. But I guess, on the basis of their decision making in the past 18 months, they had to go something that was very obviously a joke, or we'd all probably have believed it and gone in to meltdown.
  14. Wow. The guy must come across exceptionally well at interview. He's certainly not getting jobs on the strength of his management record.
  15. Well it seemed to work for him last year! I think something isn't right with him since the injury. May be it's still causing him problems. I don't know but he certainly looked a different player before he got injured.
  16. I was impressed with Cassidy the few times I saw him before his injury. He's looked completely off the pace since his return. I wouldn't write him off yet though. His form could return with a good pre season under his belt.
  17. Exactly! Even with the significant improvement under Shez, we are still a team that doesn't create many chances. Several people talk about Murphy being the answer to our goalscoring problems, because he scored quite a few at Crawley. But that was in a team making lots of chances. We need more creativity in midfield/from the wings for us to score more goals. But that's a problem he won't be able to solve until summer.
  18. Sounds plausible. Left back who Shez had on loan at Plymouth.
  19. Tranmere? He did well there and could make a dream team strike force partnering Higdon.
  20. Maybe you could explain why it's incorrect then?
  21. Agree with this. Since his return from injury, Forte appears to have lost his main asset - his lightning pace. Without it he doesn't pose defenders many problems. Jones doesn't look the player he was last year but isn't really a wide player anyway.
  22. Spot on. There was several times last night where the ball was sent up to Hoolway and Main and they managed to hold it up, only to find themselves surrounded by 6 Blackpool players and no support from our midfield. I Don't think our lack of goals is due to the strikers being poor finishers. We don't actually create many chances and I think that's because we don't get enough men forward when we have the ball. Probably a legacy of the defensive mindset of the first half of the season.
  23. Murphy strikes me as a confidence player. When he came back from his loan, where he clearly did well, he looked confident and scored a couple of goals. He was making intelligent runs, which for the most part were not seen by the man on the ball and looked a handful. But then he went a few games without a goal and the confidence just ebbed away. He stopped making those runs and the ball started bouncing off him and, at times, he didn't look 100 % committed. I think it's true he wants to be down south, but I also think he's certain in himself that he can cut it in league 2 but he's not sure he has what it takes in league 1. Personally I think most players who shine in league 2 are good enough for league 1 because there isn't a huge difference in standard, but I'm not sure he believes that.
  24. Haha, that's funny. Although it will be ruined when they do eventually win a game.
