But surely the fact they got out of the league (Wednesday currently excepted) is proof that the strategy is generally successful?

 

Anyway in other news Parker didn't make the grade at PNE - life's full of surprises, that's not one of them.

It proves that once your up then you should have the quality to stay up yes but that wasn't the point. the point was how hard it is to get up in the 1st place. our league is so competitive with numerous shocks throughout the season that you can throw as much cash around as you want but it has to be spent perfectly with the right blend or it is useless

Porter to Aberdeen - money again no doubt, fair play to the crock for getting a deal somewhere, a good con man he is

Ahh, maybe im bein a bit harsh on his agent then! A potential 4 year deal in this climate is a bloody good deal!

He did! Played half a game v Chesterfield in the JPT, Nov '06 Lost 0-1….Chaddy weren't open, winner scored down that end :ranting: Shez rested Porter and Wellens, Cwkya Played and had a stormer….

Didn't they try to sign Harewood too?

I love 'em - and especially the news on ex Latics. Latest is that Dean Brill is a triallist at Yeovil. :)

If only they would post up what the ex players are having for their tea. That could be relaly useful, we could complile our an ex-players and their supper recipe book.
