Lee Johnson's Latics went in behind at the break after Darius Charles put the hosts ahead after just five minutes. Defender James Tarkowski equalised in the 50th minute with a sharp shot, and Jose Baxter put Latics ahead at the second time of asking after his penalty was saved. Christian Montano made it three before Stevenage hit back in the 76th minute through Greg Tansey and then levelled the scores through former Latic Filipe Morais. But Latics won the game thanks to a second penalty after Darius Charles was whistled for a handball, with Baxter making no mistake with his spot kick this time. Not just MENs fault, everywhere is reporting that they took the lead after 5 mins.
