Diego_Sideburns
My dad is a construction director and he cant not understand why this is taking so long and why the contractor took the job knowing it would be this slow! Blog 2 told us there are three men working on-site. Off-site various steel sections of the stand are being fabricated and stored ready for delivery to site, and the precast concrete terracing is already in production for delivery to site to fit in with the steel frame erection programme. Blog 3 told us the steel frame and terrace units will take around 10 weeks to complete. By the Notts County game on May 3, the stand will be well on the way. jbrown23
drove past it the other day and yeah theres a bit of concrete and steel up but its one stand of 4, huge bowl of rutted mud where the pitch should be, no other infrastructure such as car parks or drive way on the go
pinevillawill
Our pitch is in much better nick though. :censored: em, as they like to say. Looks like Clayton Playing Fields.
jimsleftfoot
My dad is a construction director and he cant not understand why this is taking so long and why the contractor took the job knowing it would be this slow! The quicker a project goes up, the more costly it is likely to be. Therefore, the opposite could be what is happening here. SC specifies milestones over a longer period, the developer doesn't have to put in as much resource, keeps costs down for the club. Edit - and the FC stand is tiny Edited March 14, 2014 by jimsleftfoot
petelatics
With our luck the builders will assemble it facing Broadway - still the view will be better!

Matt
Edit - and the FC stand is tiny 5000 capacity all in. Plenty for many clubs, with room to spare.
stargazer
The Pyramids at Giza went up quicker than this stand. You see housing estates appear in no time these days. Yet we build a stand , where a stand existed before and we don't even appear to have an end date. Do the club not see what a morale boost it would be for it to exist.
