What do you think of this ?

Makes the big clubs bigger and the small clubs smaller.

Dead against.

This already happens in L1 and 2. These two divisions will eventually drift into L1 6000+ gates and L2 6000- gates.

So... newly created Football League 3 for premier league 'B' teams. From 2016/17 season.

Promotion and relegation as far as League 1, no higher.

25 man squads (21 homegrown) with no more than 3 players over the age of 21 years old per match day squad.

This won't improve the pool of English talent playing at the top clubs. There is too much at stake to finish in the top four.

For example:

It is January you are second in the PL by two points. Your top striker has gone to Real Madrid for £50m do you look to the lad who has scored 18 goals in (the equivalent to) league 1 so far this season and take a gamble on him? Or do you spend £40m on the best striker in Germany who is proven at all levels and available for the right price?

"At least 20 of the 25 players should qualify under the Home Grown

player rules"

"At least five of the 25 players should be club-grown players as per the

UEFA definition22"

So the other 20 can be poached from the likes of us? Would that make a difference or is that about par for the course already?

Would this lead to increased trafficking in 9 yr old Spaniards?

Space for these clubs would be made primarily through the creation of a new League 3 within the Football League in 2016-17. This division would initially be made up of 20 clubs of which up to ten would be Premier League B teams and the other ten places would be taken by the top teams from the Conference Premier.
By creating spaces within the current footballing pyramid, no clubs would be displaced by this system.

No clubs. Except for the ten teams in the Conference Premier and all the clubs in the pyramid below who are another rung down the ladder.

I've only read the things about B teams. It's utter :censored:e.

At the end of the day, how many fans are bothered enough about England winning the World Cup at some point to make it worthwhile decimating the lower leagues?

So that tiny hope that clubs like us have of getting back to the big time has all but disappeared.

I give it five years before they realise it's a :censored:e idea and we're back at the start again.

I don't think this will make any difference to the chances of us getting back into the big time.

The big problem is that the big premier league clubs would of anything prefer their youngsters loaned to the likes of us than send them to play against conference opposition.

Until the big clubs stop stock piling youngsters who have no hope of getting in the first team in their reserves and blood them into the first team.

A new reserve league where the youngsters of Chelsea and man city play against conference opposition is not going to change the minds of sheik mansour and abramovich to stop signing global superstars and instead develop them. Knowone will benefit from this the big clubs won't the small clubs won't.

Chelsea currently have 30 players out on loan across Europe do you think they would prefer to do that than send them to the conference to get a kicking? Ofcourse they would so it won't be beneficial to the likes of them so they will oppose it.

It won't happen

We are in an age of instant success at football clubs, especially at the top, that, along with EU commission rules, means things wont change. The FA aren't in a position to compell clubs to have nationality based players, it's ilegal. And the top clubs will be gainst it.

How can a manager expect to build team with this proposal, how much is Dyke on to dream up such hairbrained schemes?

'The development of "strategic loan partnerships" between clubs in the top two divisions and lower league, allowing wealthy clubs to place eight players in two clubs in League One or Two'.

The other say I said look at the positives and explore it but more I read and stuff I am hearing the more am against it your right it's aim is to simply suit the bigger clubs.

Welcome to the dark side

Having just listened to Dyke on Talk Sport I'm definitely dead against this now.

He blatantly hasn't thought it through and is picking and choosing whichever stats suit his argument while dismissing the fact that, eg. Liverpool have regularly fielded 6 Englishmen this season.

The England team is no worse now than it was in the 70's or even 1994 when most Premier League players were still English and we didn't qualify.

An ill thought out idea; although City are going to develop their training ground to a decent standard - it makes you think about who knows what. It's clearly set up for the big clubs to feature ahead of a pyramid that already produces quality and quantity - we'll have second string teams from the Championship and above diluting the scene at the bottom ending in a lot of hard working non-league clubs going to the wall.

Nothing wrong with the Central League, it worked - just re-invent it.

In unrelated news, England Semi Professional team now have fixtures against National U-23 sides and are holding their own...

Will you refer to the Man Utd team as "B"?
