Do the football league give out a "draw specialist" award at the end of the season? Didnt go tonight but sounded rather poor bar a few decent flashes. 18th and looking more and more like relegation fodder :(

We will know more about the team on Saturday when Gillingham will be a real test.

Good first half and deserved lead. Second half we seemed to stand off vale and try to soak up pressure. If we had a high tempo and took the game to them inthink we would have left with three points. Need to start taking chances and putting games to bed when we are on top

Poleon missed a sitter early 2nd half

Which would have made it 2-0.

Game changed in their favour when the big sub

came on but overall a lot more

attacking intent and far more entertaining

than recent games.

What's going on with Mills because

Brown is a sad excuse for a footballer!!

Poor overall i thought....lucky to be in front when they had more of the play. Second half we had no ball retention which ultimately backed is into our own box and it was inevitable we would concede.

We just have no zip, no pace, no urgency and its all very one paced and one dimensional. I fear for us im afraid. We dont just not score any goals, we dont create that many chances...

Higdon shoild have buried the rebound fromm Poleon's shot at the end of the first half. If that had gone in, it might have been a comfortable win.

I thought we actually looked quite threatening when we did attack. It's just a shame we didn't really show much desire to get forward in the second half.

And if we are pinning our hopes on Higdon then we r in trouble. Hippos are more mobile than him which wouldn't be so bad if he could hold the ball up. Ud struggle getting a stamp under one of his jumps.

We are pinning our hopes on David Dunn and I think that the players that he has brought in have improved the team.

We need a left winger and a left back or at least Mills back in very soon-in either position!

Just back.Started well but ran out of steam.Too many players not fit.mom for mewas Higdon and thought the full backs were ok.Philliskirk did well in the time he was on.Vales wide pitch suited their fast wingers.A bit disappoiting but at least we did not loose. There was one bloke near me who slagged the team all the game which did not help.

Funny how we all see things differently, i thought higdon put a right shift in tonight, won practically every header, not all finding their target, granted he is slow but i thought he was good, poleon doing the running who i thought was excellent, thought both worked well together, definately looked dangerous in attack tonight, it was end to end at times and a game we could have won and could have lost, getting sick of drawing but like mentioned in a previous post there has been improvements in each of dunn's games as manager.

I thought it was terrible.

We completely lost shape and composure as the game went on and throughout our passing and movement lacked any sharpness and precision.

The 20 minutes either side of half time showcased the best of our game (and arguably could have killed it), but as said by somebody earlier, as soon as the substitution was made Vale were in complete control.

Brown (who was hopeless) was completely exposed by Jones and they just loaded ball after ball (with little or no pressure centrally) onto him and the equaliser was inevitable.

Both centre halves defended well, but the complete inability to clear our lines should have seen us punished by more clinical opposition.

Cornell's kicking in particular was truly disasterous and invited pressure throughout.

We also looked completely spent after 70 minutes and by the finish the movement was non-existant.

Very concerned and saddened by the clear regression of the past 12 months - they are capable of far better.

A goal, an assist, hitting the post, holding the ball up, winning headers, being in position for other chances. Doesn't mean anything if you don't run about like Paul Warne.

Get serious it was poor it was port Vale we were playing and made them look like Brazil at some points! The last 10 minutes we just kicked any where clinging on. There best 2 players this season were out injured. What disappoints me and this stems to the previous manager as well they don't look fit!

Ironically Higdon is ideal in a 451 or 433 to hold the ball up and bring in the other two attackers (433) or midfield.

We then play him in a 442 alongside Poleon. That said okay them together and the goals will come but we frustratingly have a wealth of talent if only the fully applied their capabilities.
