petelatics
I remember Colchester bought a couple of decent strikers, including Porter, which got them out of trouble last season. And Notts County brought in a new manager the season before last. I have given up hoping for a new, experienced manager and am awaiting the inevitable. Be surprised if we can attract decent players in our league position and with our record of being late payers.

Frankly Mr Shankly
The stat that strikes me the most is the steady decrease of both goals and shots on goal over the last fifteen seasons. Where the :censored: is the attacking football brief that all managers spouted at some point in their stay?

joe_lead
Ooops, 2 years of Penney would have been unbearable, it just seemed like it. I've checked the 10 shots per game this season against BBC site and it seems correct. Must say I was quite surprised too unless they include the warm-up. MAC0AFC
Frightening thing for me is attendance, we lost just under a 1'000 average in the recession year fair enough, but then in 2009/10 Penney's first season in charge we lost another 1000, since then we've appointed terrible managers every year - the rot has set in now especially with us playing at this level for so long without any success. We need some success desperately to entice any of that fan base back

petelatics
I think the problem this year is that we are reaching Christmas with a lower points total than previous seasons. So, without that cushion we are going to have to sort out our home form. I know Dunn wants to improve the team but how many decent players want to join a fight at the bottom of the table.
