Good.

It’s hard to tell sarcasm, and given the vote in Oldham and surrounding areas the odds dictate that this board is probably more pro-Brexit than not. Like I said though don’t want to get into a Brexit discussion on a football thread.

There will not be a cliff edge unless, as is possible but unlikely, the deal that will be agreed by March 2019 is vetoed.  So we won't see any difference for some time because of the 'implementation or transitional' two years to March 2021.  What everyone ignores is that all the non UK EU citizens here at March 2019 will be able to stay and if they want apply for UK citizenship (I expect some form of dual nationality).

It is sensationalistic journalism and business self interest that bangs on about the need for free movement of people.  The public sector and NHS will not collapse.  Immigration will be allowed in those sectors where we need it.  We might just however see wages rising and business investing instead of, as now, relying on cheap foreign labour.

So it was regionalised?

Northern:

Oldham v Leicester

Rochdale v Lincoln City

Bury v Fleetwood Town

Shrewsbury v Blackpool

Southern:

Yeovil v Forest Green Rovers

Chelsea v Portsmouth

Charlton v Oxford

Luton v Posh

This draw sums up everything that is bad about the "English" game. Lower league teams sold out for a poultry few ££ partly under the guise of helping the national team and end up playing against a bunch of over paid mercenaries from a dozen different countries because the Premier League clubs have massively bloated squads thanks to the insane money they get from the Pay TV companies.

In the meantime we say how much we hate all of this but in parallel are happy to see the club handed over to an unknown Arab wannabe playboy from that highly respected, never dodgy, world of Football Agents, who we hope will take us down the same greedy path.

You can see it coming, hard up EFL clubs sell out for a few tens of thousands of pounds before losing the relatively lucrative final to Chelsea U21s v Leicester U21s.

Short-term thinking at its best.

.....that really is the issue....I'm pleased for any Lg1 or Lg2 when they make the final and cash in as well as giving a special day out for their fans but the above point is exactly where this is going.

Even more incentive for Latics to raise their game and knock Leicester's £45 millions side out.

Leicester who played a team full of mega money players in the last round.... great.

Even without the FA cup, I can see Leicester playing a weaker team than was played in the last round. The Xmas fixture list usually means Prem teams play their fringe players in games, but those fringe players may not have much game time beforehand. Therefore to give them a bit of match practice they were played in the B-team Trophy. With the FA cup and the Xmas fixture list out of the way those fringe players won’t need the game time.

The last time we played a PL side with a bunch of fringe players in it, at home, we beat them. That was in January too and the fringe players were worth £115 million.

And they had the help of Suarez, Gerrard,  Sterling, Allen, Henderson, Borini,  Downing, Shelvey and Sturridge who all played.

The last time was a month and a day ago..

We've got quite a record going on.
