Get a coat and stop moaning its Oldham not the South of France..... load of soft boogers.

It's ok for you. The steel mills burnt away all the ozone above Sheffield so you're bathed in sunshine all year round!

I keep telling folk down here that they're all Southern softies, not like us roughty toughty (or rufty tufty) Northerners. Mind you, I have developed an aversion to getting wet.

Playershare is just short of 10k i believe (mike does accounting) LJ is excited about the scheme and will be letting it build up so he has a substantial amount to use and bring in a potential 'fans favourite' with it. He will also be attending our next meeting

Scholes?

Just seen an interview with brentfords chairman about their new stadium. They have revised the plans from 15000 to 20000 capacity. He said it showed lack of forsight and made no business sense to build the 15000 ground. Also spoke of the need to work on attracting supporters as the only averaged 6500 in a successful season. Over ambitious or correct decision?

Depends how much it costs per extra seat. Even some of the bigger clubs at our level in recent times (and Brentford isn't exactly one of them) have struggled to average 20,000. So the only way they are going to fill it whilst at this level is if they get a big cup game or an absolutely vital league game, like their game with Donny.

Get promoted though and with the numbers of London clubs in the Championship and the extra seats might well get used.

Correct decision. They will be able to make more money from off field activities with a larger stadium, and as interest rates are very low at the moment it makes sense to build the larger stadium. To expand at a later date will cost much more than building from scratch, and probably reduce capacity whilst they are doing it.

^ that is the way I would call it.

For a club hoping for promotion within the next couple of seasons it's probably the right decision, IF they have the finance in place. By the time it's built they could well be a settled Championship club. Or they could have come back down and end up with a big ground they can't fill or afford...

I think it makes more sense for them than us, the population is booming in London and there is plenty of money about.

However, he's answered himself there, a need to work on attracting supporters = potentially not being able to fill out stadium = decent argument to build 15k plus opportunity to expand.
