sjk2008 Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 What numbers are we thinking for this? £12 open return Manchester to Lime Street. Don't think I'll be hanging around Rock Ferry for long.
ShireBlue Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Beers in Liverpool me thinks, Rock Ferry's only 10 minutes on the train from Lime Street.
leeslover Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 I could tell you about the great pubs again but you'll still all go to McHales or the Moon. Again.
opinions4u Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 (edited) Going by train? Book via the WebShop and a few pennies of your fare will do Latics some good. http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/laticsplayershare Type Virgin Trains into the search (use them to book even if you're not travelling on one of their trains). MAC0AFC Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 500 I think you're about right, my.. Remember the days we used to take 1500-2000? now it's a bit stale this tie, a bit like huddersfield away got a bit stale, would love a roses derby again now because we've had a few years wait
Forte_Baby Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 It's a longer walk and up hill but prefere to get off at Birkenhead Central walk from there
rosa Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Mark Steel did a brilliant and chillingly accurate show about Birkenhead last week. Nice description of the Birkenhead night life from 8.20.
4froale Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Couple of wins from our 3games before then and we could take 7/800, shame though as this was one of the fixtures we used to look forward to the most

Remember the days we used to take 1500-2000? now it's a bit stale this tie, a bit like huddersfield away got a bit stale, would love a roses derby again now because we've had a few years wait It's not gone stale at all.... the simple fact of the matter is we are nearer the bottom than the top. If this fixture was in Aug/Sept we would be taking 1200/1500 no danger, I think it was a late fixture last season where there was nothing at stake for us and we took something like 6/700. If we were in the playoff positions we would be taking 2000...we took 1350 to Rotherham this season which is comparable in distance. Win the next couple of games and there will be 1000 there without doubt!!!

Its a :censored: hole full of the worst type of scousers.

Except a couple of years ago when we took over a thousand on the opening day of the season and won 2-1.
Monty Burns Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Except a couple of years ago when we took over a thousand on the opening day of the season and won 2-1. WELL over a thousand. They had to open the first few rows which they like to leave empty. 'Official' figure of around a thousand. Must have 'looked like more cos people were stood up'
rudemedic Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Mark Steel did a brilliant and chillingly accurate show about Birkenhead last week. Nice description of the Birkenhead night life from 8.20. This is superb, well worth a listen too.
RichardOafc Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 500 i was there when chris taylor got sent off ,must have been 1500 there that day.
sjk2008 Posted February 17, 2014 Author Posted February 17, 2014 6pts from MK & Gillingham and that "500" will be more like "1000". I'm going regardless. *entering vigin trains into the playershare search as we speak*
Latics_Fanatic Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Easily 2000 there on that opening day!
yarddog73 Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 be 1000 anyway 1200 if we beat gills and dons

opinions4u Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Wonder if it's in anyway linked to Sodje / Montaño?
longtimeblue Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 be 1000 anyway 1200 if we beat gills and dons No chance IMO. Might take that to Bradford but with nothing (hopefully) riding of Tranmere, the weather being :censored:, them being Moore(s)-less and it just generally being another disappointing season, I don't think it'll attract the numbers of yesteryear
yarddog73 Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 be nearer 1000 than the 500 some are saying, shame 20% of those who went to anfield cant find it in them to make the trip.
opinions4u Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Been around 600 last couple of seasons I think.
LaticsPete Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Coventry at Tranmere yesterday http://twitter.com/Awaydays23/status/437539110123626496/photo/1
