welshgaz
He very often scores and offers little else. Which is good enough but today he looked well up for it too.
SavageTheBeast
Hes veen carrying an injury since November i think the break has done him well. I thought he would be rusty but the only Rust i saw today was from the stand

Markspark92
That overhead kick today was immense he is our best player by far when he's on form he looked sharp again today when he came on. He had a few shots on goal, he's got quality and he offers more than goals he's also a very good winger with pace to beat a man and has a decent cross on him bet you he's got a few assists as well this season
NewBlue
The modern football fan - not overly arsed about a prolific goalscorer. It's weird having a winger as your prolific goalscorer. There's something a bit understated in the way he plays that transmits to the way he's percieved too. Can't put my finger on it - he's a bit of a silent assassin, and he's happy for it to be that way
GlossopLatic
Think someone posted that big g is now second highest goalscorer ....yikes I'm sure mike jones has more than big g. In answer to the original question we need to stop looking for the poacher we have him forte is that man. Look at the goals he's scored most are in the penalty box or one on ones he has that ability to go cold infront of goal. We do need another striker but one that complements forte in Jabo Ibere we had that man a big striker who can act as a target man and can link up with him and other players he only needs to be a 1 in 3 striker if he has those other attributes. MAC0AFC
"we need a prolific goalscorer" ffs he's scored 14 in 21 league games that he's featured in isn't it? (random number someone correct me) but feck, he's quality. and on one leg.

Don't forget either, He hasn't completed most of those games. interns of goals per minutes on the pitch I doubt their is a better player in the football league Edited February 1, 2015 by GlossopLatic

Laticsbiffo
You could have used the same to describe Roger Palmer. I was thinking exactly that! Roger could be anonymous for 85 minutes and still bag a brace of goals..... ? Edited February 1, 2015 by Laticsbiffo
Hands on
If he stays with us he will be a hero. His performance today was sublime and if others could finish he would have as many assists as goals. He is that good!

disjointed
What impressed me yesterday was his harrying of the defenders putting them under pressure, nipping at their ankles which resulted in us winning the ball back a couple of times. I wonder if yesterday showed how we should be using him, coming off the bench when defenders are starting to tire, I know it becomes a risk if you have to substitute a substitute if he breaks down, but carefully managed it might be the way to get the best out of him. disjointed
pronounced fort, silent e... so not many songs work with this pronunciation TBF how many football fans actually bother about pronunciation, if it fits into a song then that's the way it should be pronounced. JoeP
He should just to the decent thing and change his name to something more football-chant friendly, with indisputable pronunciation. It's a shame the chap at Tranmere has aleady taken Max Power.
