singe
LSV.....that's much too far from town and even for just one season would be a commercial disaster. Absolutely, everyone knows this, but as Chris Hamilton has a job there as Stadium Manager (which he still has not publicly acknowledged), there has been months of speculation, but it was confirmed the RFL approved their promotion yet no talks took place with Latics, that was the only viable fall back option he had. A group of supporters met Chris Hamilton, and he kept saying he had news on the ground, but resolutley gave nothng anyway for months despite promises to do so (rather than just saying I can't) to the point he was disbelieved. I don't think Chris Hamilton is negotiating from a position of strength. He needs BP more than SC needs him.
Stagger Lee
I get the the feeling SC may be flexible and willing to negotiate but is Hamilton able to apologise for the unpaid debts, stump up at least some money and acknowledge ownership of the problems from some years ago? There is going to have to be some serious will from both parties to make this work. It would be great for every party and Oldham as a town if they can make this happen. jimsleftfoot
So that's the Owls gone to Tameside, Oldham Rugby going to Tameside, even bloody Ikea has gone to Tameside. What a damning indictment of my home town. Whilst Oldham is still struggling to build an M&S, Ashton got rid of the old one and built an even better one. And strangely a Five Guys has opened, third in the North, there isn't even one in Manchester City Centre.

Diego_Sideburns
Not forgetting the since Mark Hughes goal hex we have on us too. I wonder if that was put on to prevent well-known strikers, who haven't been in jail, from being successful with Latics.
peanuts
Little tale I was told the other night re Hamilton don't know how true but re the Mossley deal falling through .apparently Ashton Utd whom Hamilton owes money to told Mossley they would call in all the debt that Mossley owe them from ground sharing during thier floodlight difficultys if they allowed Roughyeds to use seal park hence the deal falling through and Hamiltons sudden interest in coming to BP . Would hope we are the same about the past debts run up by them eg pay up or bugger off
dec666
Championship fixtures have been released tonight and Oldham have three consecutive away games in June. Could tie in with work on the pitch at BP?
bpmarko
Floodlights and stewarding, innit. And haven't we got nice new energy-efficient (ie cheap to run) led floodlighting in the new stand?

laticsrblue
Hamilton's in a bit of a corner, he'll have to share with the ground who he owes the least to - if they'll have him.

singe
Quite a few tweets from official Roughyeds twitter. In essenceQuite a few issues to be resolved before a formal agreement can be signed 'Amongst other issues is the wear and tear on the out CH in the winter months' SC has CH by the short and curlies and is making him concede everything. Diego_Sideburns
Getting a grant off the council to pay rent to us to use boundary park next season I presume the grant off the Council will cover the part of the rent required for any pitch renovation necessary from dual use. singe
Some reports saying grant of £1m from OMBC. £1m, no chance.
super_blue
This has to happen now in light of the current financial issues. Additional rental income along with the north stand facilities being used (eventually) will be a welcome income stream! Maybe the grant (if true) pays for the rental upfront and that can then be used to complete the stand? Just a thought....
