Magister Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Whose place from today's team does he take? Quote
BP1960 Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Whose place from today's team does he take? On Tuesday several will be rested so probably Erwin. Quote
BP1960 Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Is he any good ? Although 6'2" he's quick and a fox in the box type, so its essential he receives good service. Quote
Frankly Mr Shankly Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Is he any good ? Must be half decent for Palace to see something in him but his record before that looks like he's been on loan to every non-league team in the home counties. Looks a bit of a "unit" as some would say. Quote
palmer1 Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 If the Athleticos can't come up with an original song using the tune by black lace they should disband! Quote
BP1960 Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 (edited) I see Rhys Murphy is banging them in for Forest Green. Having said that Ladapo is different class. Edited August 27, 2016 by BP1960 Quote
singe Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 I believe he scored a hat trick in his trial game for Palace. He scored and set up 1 for Palace in the pre season win v AFC Wimbledon. Plenty of Palace fans called for him to be bought on v Spurs Quote
TheBigDog Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Full name Olayinka Fredrick Oladotun Ladapo Date of birth 1 February 1993 (age 23) Place of birth Romford, England Height 1.87 m (6 ft 2 in) Playing position Forward Quote
GlossopLatic Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Another player north of 6 ft this is one of the biggest teams we've had for along time would have hoped for something longer than 6 months but it's one in, hopefully another to come and 1 maybe 2 to go out. Quote
NewBlue Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Must be half decent. Goes in ahead of Mckay, you'd suspect, unless the formation is changed Quote

Option to extend another 6 i think.... Quote
L1onheartNew Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Is he any good ? Can you name the man on a six month loan, smells like a steak, scores 34, La Ladapo He's a team squashin, ball smackin scoring machine La Iadapo Quote
NewBlue Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Still badly lacking a creator. If Erwin isn't playing I struggle to see who will create goals at home. Flynn has flattered to deceive in the league so far. Quote
philliggi Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Ladapo-poo-poo Built like a tank and scores a few Ladapo-poo-poo He's a beast and he is blue!! Quote

From what I've seen of Flynn his place is by no means secure and I have a feeling a more creative midfielder will be brought in before the deadline. Quote

Hmmmm but if he leaves the box to challenge for the ball doesn't that make him more of a forager like McKay? McKay as I pointed out obviously hasn't had any service so this lad may struggle if that's how you view him. Quote

McKay as I pointed out obviously hasn't had any service so this lad may struggle if that's how you view him. Mckay had service at Bury, after you said this. Fluffed his chances. Again, don't want to write him off yet, but he's clearly struggling with confidence - nothing more evident than those at Gigg Lane, where he dawdled and it passed him by. We aren't creating enough chances, yes, but he's made a meal of the ones he's had so far. I don't see us creating many at all with this squad of players, so a striker who can take the half chances is essential. Quote
hollandspies Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 'Mendi' asked the Palace forum about Freddie and this was one of their (at least to date) very few replies.... "I reckon he'll give you good service for 6 months - used to playing against roughty toughty cloggers but not a silky technician. PS - Nothing personal, but how many bungs did you give to stay up at our expense?" Quote

I agree McKay hasnt had luxury of creative service, thats why I would like to see at least one winger in the team which should benefit McKay or Lapado. Quote
