the_mighty_bosh
From memory we took around 500 last time we played there on a Saturday. Morais equaliser! That was a great point. We played well but their defence was the best in League One at that time so it didn't look like we'd score, up stepped Phil to slot home his first of the season and send the away end wild. Wish I could be there tonight but flying up for Bolton instead.

philsalt
Thoughts on the game: Ladapo will not get many goals if we need him to play with his back to goal, Irwin much better at this when he came on. Flynn anonymous most of the game. Too many side ways passes. Surely Winchester should be worth a place on the bench? still not convinced by Green and Fane together in midfield. Fane seems scared to take the ball into the opposition half, at least Green seems to be trying to take up the playmaker role. when we play with width and put balls across the box we seemed at our most dangerous. Second half was really good. Can't help but feel that once McKay gets a goal he'll be a real asset.
NewBlue
For all Ripley's good work, he'll be disappointed with that goal. Lots of sliding in when the attacker could've been stood up.

Ritchierich
Decent point in the end......thought we were fairly poor in the first half, fair bit of possession but zero penetration. Second half we absolutely dominated but the problem remains that we just don't score from open play, if we could, we'd have won easily tonight Charlton were unbelievably poor Erwin made a huge difference when he came on, really put himself about...but I'm beginning to think he could be the greatest centre half ever......big, strong, combative and has an uncanny ability to prevent the ball going anywhere near the goal

dannyboy55555
Enjoyed it last night, ratings as follows: Ripley - 7 Very solid. Our best signing. Would need to see the goal again to decide whether he could have done better. Dummigan - 6. Quiet, didn't get forward enough. Will improve with games. Clarke 7 - Excellent again from our top scorer... Burgess 7 - Won several key headers Reckord - Like him. Looks good going forward and gets balls in the box. Special mention though for the comedy fall while in a great position. McLaughlin 5 - thought he was quiet. Again, needs games Fane 7- I think there's a player in there somewhere. Needs confidence and belief that he can play at this level. Seemed nervous initially but grew into the game. Green 6- Solid performance. does the hard work in midfield Flynn 5 - Drifted in and out. Obviously has talent. Should stick with him Mckay 6 - Needs a goal. Worked hard Ladapo 6 - See above. Subs: Erwin - 8 - Made a huge difference. Seems suited to playing wide. Full of energy and can deliver a cross. Osei - 6 - Unlucky to have the ball nicked off his toe towards the end as he was pulling the trigger Overall a good performance. We knock it around well and we should have won. The side needs time to develop and to have a bit more belief in themselves. We need to be patient with SR - from a standing start he has done a very good job. KTF.

NewBlue
Watching those highlights it's laughable how poor the instinct of our strikers is in front of goal. It's quite fitting that a striker we bidded for scored against us, then. For their goal it was poor from Mclaughlin. Didn't track his man and let them get in behind the midfield two. Hopefully that understanding will come with time.
MAC0AFC
From memory we took around 500 last time we played there on a Saturday. Morais equaliser! 89th minute equaliser? Latics fans on pitch, class that
Guest nonaenever
Well.... it was distinctly better than Swindon. Ripley can be forgiven for his mistake in being beaten at his near post for their first goal - he's been superb this season. In isolation, would have been happy with a point at Charlton but we are now next to bottom and our "strikers" still don't look like scoring. That remains the biggest worry - we are not going to get out of the mire with the occasional goal from a set play.
BenRad
Just watched the highlights, pretty shocking misses from Ladapo and Erwin, both looked like like they played well in other areas at times. My opinion is from 10 mins highlights though to be fair.

Diego_Sideburns
CAFC Facts & Stats @CafcFacts 16h16 hours ago Last night's attendance of 8,745 v #oafc is the lowest league home attendance for #cafc since 20/11/1996 v Birmingham City (8,650)
Stevie_J
If Charlton were being honest about the number of people attending (which is what an attendance figure should be, surely) then you'd be going back a lot further than that I think.
