New Palyer Due in Today

Recommended Posts

Player contracts usually run until the end of June. This means that even though we have released players we will still be paying them until the end of June. This will also apply to Jose Baxter who will have agreed “in principle” to join us when his contract expires at Everton.

Was he under contract there? Transfer window is open so players can sign at any time.

"Tell your mate we had no loo paper last week cos we'd ran out and couldn't afford any".

‘See if we can get this onto twitter and OWTB’

Wasn't it the sun who released the article 24hrs before our last game? Does nIxon work for them too?

Yes this is correct. Anything negative eminates from him or his employer. There has to be more than a coincidence for this to keep happening.

Nixon was not the author of the article prior to the Northampton game.

I am aware he didn't write it. It still came from the Scum newspaper did it not? Doesn't take much to run with another Journo's story or ideas to get a story published.

Do you honestly think that the most popular newspaper in the country has a vendetta against a small League 2 club?

It’s worrying imo. Why is the club struggling financially when the wage bill has been significantly reduced in recent weeks and season ticket money has just come through?

Questions need asking by the Trust.

That’s the problem though. The wage bill has not been significantly reduced and it won’t be until present players contracts run out at the end of June. Other clubs are signing players saying that they have agreed to join from the first of July. This is normal practice at this time of the year. Clubs cannot sign players until other players contracts have expired. It’s early days yet. Banks has left to go to Tranmere however we are still paying him until 1st July

The 5 loanees returned last month. Bryan, Doyle, Benyu, Pringle and Nazon would’ve been a significant proportion of our wage bill.

Some of those salaries we where not paying and some only in part. Also we are committed to pay their salaries until 1st July. Even if they where loans. That’s why Bryan has been seen still training at the club.

I'm not suggesting a vendetta, mearly citing that it's odd that these rumblings always seem to be publised by the same illumini ie it always gets brought to the attention of the public by order of the Scum and it's cronies. No other paper runs this shit. So who internally is flinging the mud? Mud sticks.

As the chairman of Blackpool replied to Stanley Matthews when he asked to be paid during the summer "you don't play in the summer so you don't get paid in the summer".

7 players - Ollie Banks, Mason Fawns, Paul Green, Kallum Mantack, Tope Obadeyi, Abdelhakim Omrani, and Brian Wilson released.

5 players - Kean Bryan, Kundai Benyu, Ben Pringle, Duckens Nazon, and Eoin Doyle returned to their parent clubs.

Players released will hardly be on decent money. Loan players would be surprised if we are paying any of there wages.

If he's been removed, how does he know that the players haven't been paid? I'm guessing he has no involvement at all anymore?

Doesn't need to come from him. I've heard this to be true separately from the newspaper article.

In previous years the cash flow issues have always come a couple of months after the season has started, until the solidarity payments hit in January, and then a couple of months before the season starts until we start selling early bird season tickets. Dark clouds indeed...

Apart from last summer when Sheridan had to twist arms to get the loan signings late in August.

And the summer before where we had no players or a manager until very late...
