Its going to be cold and miserable and playing will hasten the demise of the pitch which is in free fall but a win tonight is essential as otherwise we will be back in 22nd when we next play and will have had a long time to think about losing.

The pitch will have been played on twice in February by the time we play Southend.

It was last played on ten days ago.

Also, after tonight we have an eleven day break for the pitch and the first team squad until the Southend game.

Yes, the pitch is in a poor state, but I am confident that it can cope with three games in February. Use the break as motivation for the players - huge effort tonight and then have some time off to recover.

Same for the pitch ?

Unfotunately we are not getting the Pringle that ripped us apart when he played for Rotherham,  he used to drive that team forward particularly down the left and the high energy action packed performances seem a thing of the past, to be fair injuries may have contributed to his loss of form, overall he has disappointed in much the same way that Paul Green did who I also expected good things from judged on how he used to play against us.

Surely a bit different a 28 y.o. Pringle to a 33 y.o. Green?
