youngen
With Charlie Mac out for the busy xmas period, LDJ wants to bring in a freebie striker. Whos out there, any decent ones? Whats Clyde Wijnhard doing?
LaticsPete
Every time I've seen Charlie play he's looked a big asset to the team. Losing him for another 4/6 weeks is a blow . Back up is going to be required as his injury record suggests there may be more problems later in the season too. http://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/news/article/20131205-macdonald-1216501.aspx
Latics_Fanatic
He's a good player and brings more to the team than Rooney, imo. However, it shows why Leyton Orient let him go with his injury record. In terms of a back-up striker, Francis Jeffers is free "fox in the box"

TheBigDog
With Charlie Mac out for the busy xmas period, LDJ wants to bring in a freebie striker. Whos out there, any decent ones? Whats Clyde Wijnhard doing? Inevitable that he has picked up another injury - when he plays he is a half decent striker. Also mentions that wee Kirkie is injured again - he has some skill but his fitness will ultimately hamper any real progress in his career. Current options are J C-H, Rooney, Philliskirk with Bove worth another look. Edited December 5, 2013 by TheBigDog
BP1960
It looks like Liam Dickinson. Here's a list of other free agent strikers as of Sept 2013, some may now be fixed up and some of course will be out of our range. Aaron Spear Adriano Angelos Charisteas Aruna Dindane Berlin Ndebe-Nlome Bjorn Runstrom Ched Evans Cherno Samba Collins John David Healy Derek Riordan Emile Mpenza Filip Sebo Goran Slavkovski Jason Euell John Carew Jordan Robertson Julius Aghahowa Kevin Kyle Liam Dickinson Louis Saha Marko Pantelic Michael Mifsud Mido Pablo Counago Phil Jevons Richard Offiong Robert Flik Robert Mirosavic Shabani Nonda Shefki Kuqi Vincenzo Iaquinta Edited December 5, 2013 by BP1960
4froale
had dickinson been starting for stockport? I wonder if we could tempt Louis saha for 1k a week
youngen
Louis Saha!!!!! What happened to him. Some names on that list that would still do a job. Julius Aghahowa/Cherno Samba would be my preference based on an alternate universe where they become as good as their Championship manager stats. Simoncorneyisgod
I know the loan window is shut but Can we not still sign emergency youth loans?? Devante Cole would be a similar player to McDonald if we could....high work rate and likes to run the channels

BP1960
had dickinson been starting for stockport? I wonder if we could tempt Louis saha for 1k a week Jon Carew might do a Matt Smith type job - if he needs a few bob to tide him over Christmas. Monty Burns
Shefki Kuqi anyone? He would be good in this team, he wouldn't feel the need to be playing in every position because those behind him do their jobs quite well. I wouldnt sign him though. Bristolatic
Aruna Dindane Collins John David Healy Derek Riordan Emile Mpenza Jason Euell John Carew Jordan Robertson Kevin Kyle Liam Dickinson Louis Saha Michael Mifsud Mido Pablo Counago Phil Jevons Richard Offiong Shefki Kuqi I'd take practically any of the above, plus Ebanks-Blake, buit definitely not Kabba. Ched Evans might be a problem too. Surely, some of them want to earn over Christmas and put themselves back in the shop window.
doctor evil
There won't be a problem with Ched Evans, we have Barry available to smooth the path for a return to stardom
the_mighty_bosh
While he didn't look great when on loan at Plymouth a month or 2 ago, this guy might do a job as cheap back up. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25204527
bigfatjoe1
Healey announced nhis retirement a couple of days ago. Shefti has the right ethics, but he's :censored:. Evans would be the most talented, given his age, but he's a convicted rapist. I didn't know he'd been released. Dickinson and several of the others are crocks are just past it. Saha would be great fo one game. I always liked Jevons, but way past his sell by date. Mifsud was a good little poacher. Its all different degrees of crap or crock. deyres42
Thought we were short of strikers even with MacDonald, his penchant for getting injured is hardly a secret, was an error not getting a loanee in.
