You may want us to have no football club, But I don't. Come Saturday, Latics true fans will be there.

Oh that must be it then, I musnt be a true Latics fan of 40 odd years travelling all over the Country watching them if I let my morals override my support!

There will still be a football club come Monday whether I attend or not,

I'm dead set against signing the bloke and dead set against the clowns at the club but any organised protest will immediately attract all kinds of people who have zero interest in our football club and it's wellbeing. Maybe just chant/shout what you feel - it could be quite cathartic, let out all your primal anguish. Always the chance of the bloke next to you being pro the signing though and bopping you on the nose. Tricky.

Then again, as a committed part timer I won't be there anyway so I'll pipe down

Nothing silly. Peaceful, outside the club entrance. Banners, flags etc welcome. I'd worry that we'd get swamped by lots of people unrelated to the club who just want to come and make some noise and make trouble. The second an organised protest is organised, the Mail, BBC etc will all run stories, and Christ knows how many will show.

The protest from us (at least the majority) is against Owen and the Board, not Evans directly.

Mine would also be Evans directly

Supporting the team will just make it worse. Just dont go on Saturday. Anything else is just half hearted Bull:censored:!

If we sign him, or it's still not resolved, a sub 2000 crowd seems the best, if not only, way to send a message to me (despite the fact we've already been roundly treated with contempt)

I see what you are saying but I think it only right that the club and anyone else for that matter see the majority of fans' displeasure at the events of this week and particularly how our so called representative has behaved.

What happens if only say 100 of you turn up....what will that say to the board?

I think it will all blow over whatever happens but, it's not beyond the realms of possibility that this could also cause us massive problems due to loss of fans and/or sponsors.

If you want to get all Gillingham away about it it could be argued "true fans" definitely SHOULDN'T attend........

Yes there would still be a club there on Monday, But if everybody did the same as you, and stopped going to games, SOON we would have no club. I'm not knocking your feelings regarding this bloody horrible mess that we have landed in, but if people stop going to games because of all this sh** that is happening, the club will be finished.

Weirdly we sacked ronnie Moore because of dwindling crowds and yet they seem oblivious to the fact that this would greatly affect crowds in a negative way

Here's an idea - instead of all that potentially being a problem why don't we just not sign Ched Evans?

Bulldozing the Lookers without a plan lost more attendee's than Ronnie Moore did. Or the signing of Lee Hughes put together.

The thing is did they predict the outcome of bulldozing the lookers maybe, maybe not but with Moore they looked at the ticket sales and said people don't like you your gone. We know they are monitoring this website and Facebook but are still pushing ahead with this

It's not a million miles away from that anyway, this is just speeding up the decline.

But then who's going to abuse Furman?

As she doesn't come on here, does anyone know if Diane Mellor would fancy the top job at the trust? I know people don't put themselves forward on here but there are loads of other people out there who could do it.

Diane was touted by Barry as his successor-to me that is therefore the kiss of death

Here is how I see it!

If we sign Ched Evans-I will not be going for the rest of the season, at least

If we dont sign him I will not be going on Saturday as my way of protesting against the incompetence of the Board, unless they come out with the right reasons

If LJ resigns or moves on-well I dont know what my reaction will be. I am truly embarassed to call myself a Latics fan

When his time as representative of the fans eventually comes to an end what will his legacy be?

Dwindling fan base that feels more disconnected with the club and trust than ever and the championing of the signing of 2 convicted serious criminals.

What a shambles. And what an abuse of power.
