HarryBosch
Arguably our two most popular managers since Royle - both being touted for the job, who would you go for if it were upto you and why?
longtimeblue
Loved Shwzza. Wouldn't want to go back though. Dowie on the other hand...
ghostofcecere
Don't really fancy a second spell for Sheridan for some reason. If it's a choice between the two I'd go for Dowie every time
super_blue
Dowie by a long shot in terms of what he achieved with is league position wise....closest we've ever come to getting out of league 1.
Midsblue
Don't you think Shez achieved more on a smaller budget though? He got us into the play-offs and we were top half up to dog-gate
oafc_lover
Gone for Dowie on the basis I think he'd have a bigger short term impact for this playoff push. However, if playoffs weren't within reach and it was an appointment at the start of a season, I simply couldn't choose. Absolutely love Shezza and really rate Dowie. ChaddySmoker
Shezza (with his wife)
deckyd
I picked shez cause he was my favourite player along with pogs and would like to see him get another crack at it. Would have no worries with dowie taking it. Edited March 3, 2015 by deckyd
laticsrblue
Where is the neither option.

josh_latics
Both. And Royle. Let's make a dream team.
melia
Neither. It's gonna be Tony Carss
hollandspies
I voted for Dowie simply because his profile and experience sits at a higher level than Shez, and it should guarantee that the likes of Smalley, Trotman, Allesandra and Reid will not return to our club as they've all found their level. Wouldn't mind Clint Hill coming back as captain though.....just to extend his career with us! Edited March 3, 2015 by hollandspies
Oafc88
Shez but then its huge bias from me as he's my favourite all time Oldham player and I never wanted him gone in the first place (though I see why he was sacked). Hands on
Deano!
singe
Interestingly, with the gloriously bad exception of Graeme Sharp; Frizzell, Royle, Dowie, Rithcie & Johnson are all first time managers and arguably the most succesful of the past 30 years. So it's odds on a first time manager.
singe
Deano! He certainly got a reaction, but you have to acknowledge Adam Lockwood's influcence...!
LaticsChris
I loved them both, but I'm a little more wary of Sheridan's abrasive personality.
singe
I loved them both, but I'm a little more wary of Sheridan's abrasive personality. Whilst he got promotion from LEague 2 and JPT, it was also coupled with a relegation And seems to have dropped off at the business end of the seaosn a la 2008/9 for us. If we go for an experienced manager, I think I'd prefer someone else than Shez. Legendary player though.
Stevie_J
Andy Ritchie's got unfinished business as Latics manager - was very harshly sacked - and has gotten a team promoted from this division before.
danoafc
I'd personally go for somebody new, but without question Dowie and Shez both have 'unfinished business' at BP.
LaticsChris
Andy Ritchie's got unfinished business as Latics manager - was very harshly sacked - and has gotten a team promoted from this division before. Very true, and what he did here he did with barely two buttons to rub together. I'd love to see him back.
Handsy
I'm sure Dave penny's got unfinished business but we wouldn't have him back

MAC0AFC
No, his business was well and truly finished. Infact, his business has only just started... he's coaching the kids of today in Rotherham & Sheffield, imagine paying for your kid to be coached by Dave Penney? No thanks.
