the_mighty_bosh Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Anyone particularly bothered? Any player that you'd like to see get a run out? Quote
The Blue Alb Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Jacobs for me. Hoping for a goal-fuelled send off for the chaddy; a repeat of last year's match will do nicely. Quote
Simoncorneyisgod Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Yes......looking forward to giving the Youth's the credit they deserve at HT Quote
underdog Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Yes, it's the last game and I want to see effort and goals Plus if we win and rochdale beat Barnsley we will be right up judas' s ass too Quote
SavageTheBeast Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 I think I'm still hungover so tired eyes at the game today Quote
Gaz_Oafc Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Plus if we win and rochdale beat Barnsley we will be right up judas' s ass too Half of OWTB still are aren't they? Quote
oafc21 Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Nah,first time I've missed the last home game in 30 years, gave my season ticket away yesterday, not that having a bad head after a all day wedding yesterday had nowt to do with it, which wouldn't have usually stopped me going the game!! Quote
Lee Sinnott Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 It's possibly the most pointless game of football that Oldham Athletic have ever played... Quote

underdog Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 I use to rejoice when the opposition get reduced to 10 men, now I hate is as we just seem unable to beat them In fact, true to form, we allow an equaliser. Oh why can't we beat 10 and when was the last time we did? Quote
BP1960 Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 (edited) Holden maintained one up front against 10 men and the usual sideways backwards passing. This told me all I need to know about him and his plans for next season. He might be here, but I wont to watch such boring play at home. What you see with him is what you will get IMO. GravityGrave Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 We have no killer instinct whatsoever . No tempo or drive when 1-0 up to continue the high tempo / slick passing that got us into the lead in the first place . P'boro were there for the taking for the full ninety minutes. Loosing Kelly would be a hammer blow . If his effort and drive could be replicated by 6 or 7 of the other players we'd be in much higher position . On the positives I thought both our fullbacks had good games . Quote
ChaddySmoker Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 How the EFF did Poleon win MofM? Special mention for Connor Brown! Winchester ran across the width of the pitch once then went off knackered on the hour. Same old same old, that was crap today Quote
meatpiesausageroll Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Connor Brown for me too. Made some great runs and showed passion and commitment. The game was OK at best. Tactics awful with defensive set up against 10 men. Still looks like they will have time to perfect the negative football next season. Quote

Same old same old, that was crap today First home game for quite some time today and good to see traditions maintained. Just 34 seconds for someone behind me to shout 'You're f*ckn sh!t Poleon' and there were no pies. For what it's worth I thought Poleon was man of the match. Quote
GravityGrave Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Thought Connor Brown and Kelly were our best two today . Quote
disjointed Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Connor Brown was by far the best player on the pitch today, his desire to get forward did it for me, showed some good touches, more of the same next season please. Quote
Ritchierich Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Pathetic tactics and lack of guile against ten men Holden, great guy, has no clue as a manager Poleon: love his effort Lack of pies at half time!!!! 3900 ffs ......what a joke our club is these days Possibly one of the the worst seasons I can remember, hugely disappointing and seriously concerned that Corney is now taking the Mike Ashley approach to running a club. If Holden or this chap Kelly is appointed we will know for sure #judas you can feck off 2014/15 RIP Quote
HarryBosch Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Loads of pies in the RRE - selling them off at £1 at the end of half time. Facilitees, acoooostics, cheap pies.... Shangri-:censored:ing-la Quote

the_mighty_bosh Posted May 4, 2015 Author Posted May 4, 2015 (edited) Best season for years. The first four months were possibly the most stable for a long time and I felt that we deserved to be around the top 6. Since then the biggest disappointment for me is that it feels like so many of the bad things that have happened to the club have been self-inflicted. Be it something minor like Johnson taking out Rachubka and replacing him with Kenny, or major like the Ched Evans debacle. Even LJ's choice to leave when he did. Barnsley may prove to be a better chance at promotion in the long run, at the time he left the difference was marginal at best. We didn't need to let him go either, we could've said "stay until the end of the season, then we'll let you go". This leaves me worried about next season and the new manager. I've trusted the board's judgement before the Evans saga as, despite making mistakes along the way, they struck me as being generally competent in a difficult situation. But now I'm far less convinced by their interpretation of due diligence for the big decisions. Blimey, that turned into a rant. Edited May 4, 2015 by the_mighty_bosh Quote
losesome Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 (edited) Prior to Walsall i was all for giving DH a chance, of the supposedly short list of 3 i thought he would be the best choice. After these games i no longer wish that. How poor a finish was that when we can't even muster a shot on target at Walsall. Then yesterdays match , a great chance to entertain and go out with a bang , instead a flimsy end to the campaign . Even in the last 10 min or so when Wilson went off injured i thought right , playing against 10 men why not go 3 at the back and shove Elokobi up front , at least give it a go and see what happens , what's was to lose !!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Deano but no thanks . Edited May 4, 2015 by losesome Quote
