Dave_Og
We've signed a player!!!! Well at least he knows a decent pub when he sees one - that's The Swan just by Leadenhall Market and have seen him before in The Lamb and Simpsons, both within a couple of hundred yards of there. Great boozers - almost the only ones left in the area..
Rwb98
Have we got enough for 5 a side By my count we have 10, meaning yes but there's no goalkeepers. Good chance the game will end 0-0 though.

underdog
Maybe it's me being a bit thick and I'm being generic here not specific but if we have an option on a player does the trigger have to be both parties accepting it and if one of the parties has an agent how much influence can they have at that option stage? Like your value has improved since the contract option was first negotiated Is it still open to negotiation? Can we not throw in a sweetener like a chocckie biccie and how long does an option/renegotiation last for Just curious Edited July 6, 2016 by underdog
opinions4u
We can refuse to exercise our option at the agreed rate and offer a lower amount. If we do that, the player can tell us where to stick our lower offer.

Does it work the other way, say the players value increases, both parties recognise this, the club re-negotiates but the other party decides to try their luck elsewhere? And do we have a time limit Maybe we should offer two chockie biccies?

Like your value has improved since the contract option was first negotiated Is it still open to negotiation? Can we not throw in a sweetener like a chocckie biccie and how long does an option/renegotiation last for Just curious It will work something like this:Club and player agree a contract, two of the main provisions of which will be the length of the contract and the rate of pay. After the initial term of the contract, say one year, the club will have an option to extend the term of the contract by another agreed period, usually a further one year. The club will have to exercise the option by a certain date, which will usually have to be before the expiry of the initial term of the contract. Exercising the option will extend the contract based on the same terms agreed between the parties at the outset. If, then, as rumoured, the club offers the player a further year but with less pay then they haven't triggered the option set out in the contract. They have, instead, offered a brand new contract which the player is free to accept or reject.

NewBlue
Maybe BP1960 will be able to answer this. Is that Glackin Northern Irish, and if so, what is the likelihood Robinson will have worked with him at youth international level?

He will know of him, but more likely he worked with Latics youth team centre back Dylan King for NI under 17s.
