We'll boycott the club to strangle the supply of cash then we'll moan the bills aren't paid. Good logic

We've given the owner our money.  He's used it to give incapable players - his clients - contracts, which is why we are where we are in the league.

I don't believe for a second he'd put the money where it's supposed to go if the boycott was called off.

The bills haven’t been paid for years - our esteemed leader stated season ticket sales are a bonus income not budgeted for Oh, was the boycott just ST sales?

his latest statement to the BBC says he has worked hard to make the club financially stable and secure - it isn't Is that because the boycott is working?

but keep talking bollocks it at least keeps things fresh

If anyone tech savvy could create an "Oldham Athletic: Days without Crisis" sign on here I'd be very grateful.

Although realistically you could leave it at 0 days for most of the time and you'd be up to date.

Would you like that in Days, Hours, Minutes or Seconds?

There arent enough zeros to dive any deeper

I'm trying to work out if some of the posts on this thread are trolling for giggles or genuinely apportioning some of the blame for this latest embargo on the fans.

If the first one, then fair dos, if that's what gets people off then good luck to them.

If it's the second one then I can't believe there are still people who think this way.  The actions of the club are the reasons for the boycott.  The actions of the club are the reasons attendances nose dived pre boycott.

The club have shown very little desire to change or address the issues and try and get the fans back onside.  Which sends the message that they aren't bothered about attendances.  And if they aren't bothered about attendances, then they don't need the money, so they should be able to pay the bills with attendances as they are.  Therefore there is every right for fans to complain about this latest development even if they are withholding their money from the club.

But he pays the bills....

Seriously the walls are closing in on him now either he cuts his losses and sells or he will end up losing it all if we go into Admin.

Even if we assume the thinking of the club is that we're out of the window so the embargo doesn't matter, not paying other clubs what we owe them can only damage our reputation. It's in tatters anyway, and could be the difference in beating other clubs to a players signature in future.

There are just no positives or excuses for this no matter how hard some people are trying to find them. Just another example to add to the very long list of poor management.

If you starving the club of money as many people are advocating then you have to accept that there may be uncomfortable consequences arising from that. Seems like people want to have their cake and eat it.
