bigfatjoe1
Brexit was directly and obviously behind our decline. It created huge uncertainty in our ability to recruit potentially world class players from the French lower league. This totally undermined the owner and his brother, who were lining up at least another ten players, all of which were going to be brilliant, but they were just worried about being unable to come to a country where they might be kicked out or not even able to enter the UK in the future. Shame. Our decline started then and has continued ever since. Anyway, nice to see the PM (unelected in that leading post) is going to open the doors for more migrants. The rich people who have been given a massive and much deserved tax break will need more servants at below national minimum.

First paragraph I assume very much tongue in cheek Second paragraph I suspect you’re serious but I can’t remember Gordon Brown being elected in that leading post either but that’s the system so that paragraph gets a from me which isn’t bad. League one forever
I don’t get why some on this board can’t accept another view, without making implications or inflammatory remarks about another’s character or integrity. It’s almost like they can’t see the irony in having what is perceived to be such a closed narrow view. I’m right - your backward. Okaaaaay. Great chat. I think the reason that social media in general just gets more and more toxic is that so many of the posts on any subject come across, intentionally or otherwise, as being passive aggressive. The ellipsis is probably the best example. It could mean 'what do you think' but equally it could mean 'why don't you think about it first you t**ser'. When tensions are high and passions are inflamed then the latter interpretation is probably taken more often regardless of what was meant, and so the cycle begins. I've heard it's seen as aggressive to end a message with a full stop as that is seen as shutting off debate in the American 'period' style. My feeling is that the vast majority of people on here and other fora would get on perfectly well, just have a good friendly debate and end up agreeing on most stuff if they actually met up in person. Not especially Monts. You kinda made my point- you hold a view based on your circumstances. Which is absolutely fine, likewise others will frame their view on their circumstances. To reduce any debate to- ‘I’m right- your strange’ without knowing the individual is generalised nonsense in my view.

Fawn over politicians, hey - you be you, personally I don't get get it. Berate workers for wanting better pay, yet let those with fat bonuses and dividends get a get out of free card, cool that's your view - I'll support the worker though, even if it inconveniences me. I don't get it, if you've more in common with the worker than the shareholder - why not support the worker. Queue up to get close to a dead person, knock yourself out - personally I think it's weird, I don't get it.
