Won their last 2 so confidence will he high...

We will probably need to score a couple to get something from the game😬

No clean sheet for us since the opening day for us at Torquay who are now bottom...

No win and we could be in the bottom 4 come 5pm Saturday😞

Bit depressing init.

1-1 I reckon

Wonder who will be dropped from Saturday?

Our options are a bit limited I think as most of our walking wounded won't be back judging from Unsworths interview.

Burgess and Wellens to start for me instead of Cooper and Stobbs.

Vaughan may get some game time from the bench in think

Norman

Clarke Carragher Okagbue Roberts

Wellens Burgess Sherron Rooney

Tollitt (or Vaughan but unlikely)

Fondop

Putting Burgess in any team before Vaughan or any other footballer from my old school team in 1965 is just silly.

Burgess did well after coming on as a sub, wouldn't be surprised to see him replace Stobbs.

Hope it's not 7 at the back again though.

Local game for me 😮

I have been to the ground twice before - it’s a proper non league setup but being in the centre of Maidenhead the choice of pubs is decent as are the multi-storey parking options.

Until some of the injured are back or one or two new faces are brought in, Unsworth has to work with what he’s currently got.
Going off the match report on Tuesday, I would anticipate Burgess coming in, maybe for Stobbs.

Then there is the puzzling situation with Vaughan. He brings impetus and pace to the middle of the pitch yet is strangely overlooked for the more limited Cooper  - baffling to many.

Whatever the starting eleven, I hope that they cut out the calamitous style of football where avoidable mistakes lead to loss of confidence. We look a far better team when we keep it simple and play with an increased tempo.

Sorry, that would be Yew Tree juniors, Grammar was 66

Yew Tree Juniors 1965!!

That could be the same year as me…I was in that team I think….we played in the Chadderton Cup and I think the Clayton Cup at BP and lost 1 v 4?

I played in a Clayton cup at BP but we won 2-1 but can't remember what year.

Burgess has to play after Tuesday. But I can’t see a midfield of Tollitt Burgess and Vaughan working. Christ.

Think we might get to see what Maynard is like this weekend, heard hes fit now

Lois Maynard:

- used to play for Chadderton

- cousin to Marcus Rashford

- St Kitts & Nevis international

- height 6’3

- aged 33

Recent playing record:

2017–2020Salford City 94 (8)

2020–2022Stockport County 22 (1)

2021–2022→ Solihull Moors (loan)30(2)

2022–Oldham Athletic 0 (0)

If he’s any good, he could be a welcome addition to the team now that he’s fit 👍

A couple back in training this week and in contention for Sat, says DU.

Any ideas who? Mike G says Maynard is one in his post above, hoping Gardner is the other.

Gardner is still out 100%
