jimsleftfoot
Calm down!! Undisclosed fee but Chambers is reliably informed that the fee is much higher than £150k Edited January 31, 2014 by jimsleftfoot
marhar
Don't understand the loaning him back part of the deal. surely James Wilson's his replacement. I've no idea, but maybe they think he will need a month to get up to fitness? Can't imagine they've done it just for the hell of it. So are we ignoring Matt Chambers and just going with the lower offer story told by another journalist?
blueatheart
Im witholding all commentvon movements until 10pm....but i fear when i do, it could be a serious rant We have signed three players in the last 24 hours. I highly doubt we will be bringing anyone else in. LJ said two or three earlier in the week, there is your three. Obviously, I hope I am wrong and that the signing we make at 10.58pm tonight make an extra 200 come and stand in the rain with me at Swindon tomorrow. away dayz
The brentford rag was right about the loan back for a month, so am guessing the figure isn't too far from what they reported. Not a great deal for latics but we move on I certainly won't stop going I think that suggestion is maybe a bit OTT
deyres42
So he can't play tomorrow? This club really is done.
Break The Silence
Really, really disappointed. Same here, although I suppose it was inevitable. Don't see the point in the loan back though. As others have said, just sell him and move on.
RoyleArmy1994
Given the amount of money we spend supporting OAFC, think we are all aloud a moan or rant at whatever level we feel! Unless the fee comes out as a good one with future incentives, then what a F*** up this is. 'Best interests at heart for the club', b******, the best interests would be to keep tarky till summer, ensure we remain in league one, then let the bidding games begin!! BUT Brentford!!!!! Christ!!!!

dannyboy55555
We dont know the fee but the loan is most bizarre. What sort of reception will he continue to get? He clearly doesnt want to play for the club or he would have signed the new contract.
lookersstandandy
Matt chambers tweeting it's a lot more than the £150,000 quoted This! £150k was on a website called Get West London. I reckon Matt @ The Chron would know more......!
NIKI1234
Or Brentford are boasting to their local rag that they've done a great deal.. Maybe, but how much boasting can you do to the local rag, do you knock off 25%,50% even if brentford knocked the figure down 75% it still a joke fee...... BlueInAus
Getting so annoyed of these undisclosed fees. Makes me not want to give the club any more of my money.

Correct. I do not understand how anything under £500k is acceptable unless we really are screwed financially.

Break The Silence
Maybe we should pay an undisclosed fee at the turnstiles. Ha ha, quality idea. Get the gate man to shut his eyes and hold out a bucket while we throw in what we deem acceptable.
PlayItLivo
Which ever way you look at it. It's a step up. Brentford are challenging for promotion. Meanwhile we're loaning players from Macclesfield and signing cast offs from relegation fighting rivals. Good luck to James. Brentford are a club with ambition, on the ascendancy. Agreed, Brentford will be in the championship next year so it will be a good change for Tarky. Wish he'd stayed but at least he didn't wait till the end of his contract to leave and we got nothing (or a nominal fee).
stargazer
Put the money in the bucket after the game , performance related pay .......now that would be interesting.
Oh Heck C-Beck
So many drama queens in here ffs he's good but nowhere near as good as some of the other players we have had over the years even at this level. Give me clint hill and fitz hall and gregan any day over tarky. Until we get some investment and have to finance our new stand expect this to keep happening to our best players so you should get used to it. Life goes on! Break The Silence
Brentford did that this season. If they've bought Tarky in loose change that'll explain the undisclosed fee. No :censored:er's counted it yet.
