Obviously Diego, as usual, I totally agree with you but I do think that the main priority is to receive money for TTA from functions and Xmas is looming!

I do feel that all other considerations are secondary in the minds of those in control of the progress.

For functions the car park needs doing so it will be (perhaps partially) completed asap.

For functions the electricity plus certain fittings needs connecting so it will be (at least partially) completed! etc etc

Obviously the main priority is to get the revenue-producing parts of the stand open, but the match-day operation of the stand for spectators will happen first.

Big positive news yesterday. Expect things to really kick on. Can't put details as I've had a bollocking for the foundations stuff. The fault on this has not been with Latics.

So big positive news has to be kept secretive, but speculative scaremongering built on weak foundations rules OK?

I've no idea old bean. The foundation info was 100% however caused ripples for the person who informed me. The good news from yesterday means work should kick on. Those who know me know where the infos from.

As for houses I'm informed 30 are going on the site. Not sure if these were part of original plans or not?

Odds on the houses going up before the stands ready for use?

Outline planning permission was given in 2009 for 30 dwellings at Boundary Drive behind the Chaddy End. Only the first 10 have been built to date.

A bigger proposed development was mentioned in the Chron at the time.

Few million profit when they all get sold then. Was Latics' land, now nothing to do with us. None of the profits erode the debt. Hail Hail Corney.

Are you ignoring the quote in the Chron:

“It is seen as the best way forward for developing the Boundary Park site to ensure that all the profits from the sale of properties assists in the funding for the new stadium.”

Have any of the 10 houses built played any part in the new stand? Can't see the others benefiting Latics. Brassbank means there's no transparency either way. Good business but just worth remembering when people credit them for being here for the long haul.

The housing development is a "joint venture" so profits will be shared.

That was 2009 things change in 6 years if that's still the case and we sell of the land for a new main stand or chaddy end then I'm all for it but I think we need to know.

I think you have to reapply for planning permission after so many years, even if you have done some of the work. From somewhere in the back of my brain I think the cut-off is 3 years.

I wouldn't be surprised if Brassbank/Holroy have reapplied for planning permission for a different number of dwellings recently.
