RoyleArmy1994
Till the end of the season. In other words, he wont be sticking on a latics shirt again. He must have been on a good number, so hopefully a replacement (striker) ??
SavageTheBeast
We get a loan fee so hopefully we can use that to get a loan player in
NIKI1234
Needs first team games to get back towards that England call up.
the_mighty_bosh
Obviously possesses talent but too lightweight and a scorer of great goals rather than a great scorer of goals. Not disappointed he's gone, if he was good enough he would've shown it by now.
NIKI1234
He's one of these new bread of wingers that cant seem to get a cross in the box. He wont be missed His goal at Swindon was pretty special though
rvlatic
I don't mind as long as he is replaced...the squad is thin enough as it is.

Tommy_Fent
On his debut at Stevenage I thought it was great that we had a tricky winger who could cross a ball. Then after that game he became another one of those modern wingers who would take too many touches and end up losing the ball. He was good on a handful of occasions but I don't think the way we've played tried to play has really benefitted him.

SavageTheBeast
How do you know we get a fee for it? We wouldnt let him go for free. Johnson stated that the deal needs to be a good one for the club

leeslover
We wouldnt let him go for free. Johnson stated that the deal needs to be a good one for the clubNot a chance. I'd bet we'll be paying some of his wages. Beats paying all of them for the odd cameo appearance.
Gaz_Oafc
Far too lightweight.
ShireBlue
Talented player, but doesn't fit into the system.
rudemedic
Talented player, but doesn't fit into the system. I'd say like Rooney, the physicality of League 1 has been to his detriment. He'll do well in Scotland, where it is less physical.
ghostofcecere
Just too small and lightweight, spent most games getting bundled off the ball.
josh_latics
Shame it never worked. There's a player in there, but like most have alluded to, too small and lightweight to have an impact, only showed up once every 10 games. Doesn't fit into our system either. Wish him well. This for me, on his day could be a match winner, just not enough of them days.
deyres42
Most creative player in the squad and the management couldn't find a role for him.
opinions4u
Most creative player in the squad and the management couldn't find a role for him. The manager told us he would be a big player for us this season. Oh well.
Blue_Guru
Surely LJ has only let him go because we have a guarenteed addition to the squad? We are light enough as it is and the bench looks even weaker less Dayton
NewBlue
Dayton's career at Latics whiffs of Adam Rooney. What could've been will probably come back to haunt us...
Chaddy_Ender
Loved his goals at Carlisle and Swindon. Agree thats how I will remember him, the goal at Swindon was one of the best goals ive ever seen live, good luck up north seems a decent lad as well.
