oafcmetty
In the Chron, LJ says there's no doubt Murphy could be available for Saturday. http://www.oldham-chronicle.co.uk/news-features/10/oldham-athletic-news/90157/rhys-pumped-up-for-latics-switch There's no doubt I could be appointed Oldham manager in time for the match on Saturday. Meaningless quote.
tringerlatic42
I saw the interview on LP and thought he came across really well, seemed very likeable and intelligent and hopefully if he can stay clear of injuries and get good service he could be an outstanding addition and a crowd favourite. I wish him every success and will be watching his progress with great interest

Crusoe
Is he wearing the number 7 there? No chance of Dayton coming back then.

Bristolatic
I'm more worried about Wilkinson being given the No17 shirt. Memories of Parker et al send a cold shiver down my spine.

chris_oafc
Trained with the first team today looking at the video And looked pretty sharp with what you see of him.
Diego_Sideburns
He was involved in the move for the goal at Scunny. Later he pulled up and bent over as though he had felt a strain, but he carried on quickly afterwards. Hope he hasn't aggravated his injury. manshaw
Only a small cameo appearance yesterday, but his positioning and body language was excellent. He will score sooner rather than later.

NewBlue
Said in the MEN his under-performances at the end of last season were due to him having multiple niggles and not having fully recovered from a previous injury, and next season he will be fully fit. Wonder how he'll fare next season. Looks like he's going in as maximum 3rd choice striker. Edited July 15, 2015 by NewBlue

NewBlue
4th if Kelly sees forte as a striker If Kelly's watched as many tapes as he says he has then he will know that Forte's a winger, and a waste up front
Latics_Fanatic
His anticipation of the ball in the air is awful. Showed through again on Saturday.
GlossopLatic
If Kelly's watched as many tapes as he says he has then he will know that Forte's a winger, and a waste up front He will also know that forte is the best finisher at the club and when he played upfront he scored I wouldn't call him a waste upfront, he maybe better on the wing, personally I think he can play both and be just as effective. Infact the only time we had a proper partnership upfront last season was when he was playing up top with Jabo. leeslover
Without looking at the stats I'm going to guess that Murphy has scored as many goals as all our other forwards combined.
BP1960
He must be in the manager's plans, kept back for the Stirling Albion game which I suspect will be a stronger team than v St Mirren.

You have to wonder why on earth we brought the transfer forward and paid a supplement when he clearly wasn't fit!
Midsblue
I completely forgot about him if I'm honest when thinking about strikers this season. Last season a fair few were made up that we signed him
