James Tarkowski

Without being funny, he is going to know a few in and outs, so I expect the Everton forward. But there is no way a scout is going to be privy to if we have sold the sell on fee or not. Except he is a "Payroll Specialist" so only a little more likely to know but on very thin ice revealing financial details.

Philiskirk, Yeates, Ecklesly, Fuller, Higdon, Rasoulo, Fulton and entire management team don't forget.

Today I meant though, still lots of players who will never figure this season.

Yeah the clubs a :censored:ing joke. Some bloke from the Sun who barely gets anything right about us said it's been sold so it must of been.

But the journalists that are closer to the club say it's still there.

Who to believe until the club issues a statement (if it does)?

Have they...?

There was one about 6 months ago from the lad who covers Latics for MEN saying it was 10% so admittedly it could of been sold since then but not according to Chambers in the Chron couple of weeks ago.

http://www.oldham-chronicle.co.uk/news-features/10/oldham-athletic-news/96098/athletic-up-for-tarkowski-windfall

'With Athletic holding an interest in the player’s future through a sell-on clause, a successful transfer would provide a massive financial boost.'

I'd believe them over a journalist from the Sun who appears to have no specific links to us or Brentford...

Assuming this is now true, you have to call into question the competence of those running the club now. I'm not and never have been a Corney out merchant, I remember Moore for god's sake. But this is the second big call on sell on clauses and the second time they've got it wrong. If they couldn't see the difference between the Richards case (earning a fortune for doing nothing at one of the richest clubs in the world) and the Tarkowski one (Young improving player playing for a relatively small club 200 miles from where he wanted to be) then they really need to question their ongoing ability to lead this football club.

Really????

I imagine it was a last resort to cash in on it. We had several Months when players/staff didn't get paid on time. That can't be an ongoing trend so they had to do something. That sell on clause was a short term fix of course but if it made the difference to paying people or not then the right decision was made. People can't go without salaries for months on end.

Not paying wages can be a downward spiral over a long period and potentially administration. That would defiantly bring relegation due to the 12 point reduction and everyone would be a little more up set if that happened!

How on earth has Simon Corney earned enough money to run a professional football club (to the ground)?

His business acumen is piss-piss-poor. Brentford were receiving bids for Tarkowski within a couple of transfer windows of him being there.

Can't wait for him to leave the club and allow somebody mildly competent to take the reigns.

Relegation or keep a £6M+ debt? I am not so sure. Ever since the construction commenced of the North Stand that has taken priority & all the money

Said many times , not just SC but look at the muppets under him .

When you have people of the calibre of Owen on the board of directors making commercial decision that potentially involve £M then you know our are in trouble.
