ghostofcecere
So, in hindsight, sale or no sale? I liked Philiskirk but you have to say sale......... we got £75K for him, stayed up whilst he couldn't provide the goals to get them to safety. It was very good business for us. nick1979
I think shez quite likes philli, I wouldnt be suprised to see him back if the lashers end up going down.

NewBlue
The money probably allowed us to bring in the players who kept us up. Doesn't seem like he's been that influential for them either. Ideally would've kept him, but if the question was him or safety it's fairly straightforward.

We went very direct, lots of long passes to forwards to try and hold to ball up. Phili wouldn't fit into that style of play, so not a big miss. Next season though.....? leeslover
If anyone suggested spending £75k on him now you'd have them committed. It was excellent business. We got money, we were able to pick good players in his place and he helped take a rival down.
Monty Burns
Don't expect much change in style next season. I would recommend people ignore this comment and refer to Shez's comments on the same subject.

PlayItLivo
Philly had to make way for better quality anyway. A team relying on Philliskrk to be a key player is a team getting relegated from League One. Said it then and I'll say it now. We robbed them blind.

HarryBosch
Look at the goal stats involving his teams in recent seasons. He'd be daft not to stick with tactics that had us winning lots of games 1-0 given the fact it kept us up once the players started following his instructions... NewBlue
He's played for the two lowest scoring teams in the same season. Doesn't look great on his CV.

We are just heading into Winter and some cool relief and it was 31 degs here. Bloody Brisbane weather.
IceStationLatic
It would be funny if Blackpool go down and are then open to giving us back Philliskirk on a free... To avoid any outstanding funds involved from the fee... If there are any.

byrnes boots
Saying we robbed blackpool by taking 75k of them Leeds robbed us for poleon swings and roundabouts
lookersstandandy
Leeds robbed us for poleon swings and roundabouts ...I'd like to see what half a season without injury working under Sheridan's guidance would do for the boy... I've seen flashes - Gillingham away, Chesterfield away - where he's been running at the opposition defence and he's looked like a match winner. I agree it's all too infrequent, and there is much to criticise - first touch, decision making, apparent attitude et al - but I just feel like there might be a decent asset under there.
