Under 24 so compensation due if we offered a contract to him at least equal to previous terms. (Assuming this still applies in the National League).

Thanks, Mick. Didn't realise that - and not a clue if it does apply in our league. Remember the hoohah over possible NL change to sick pay, so heaven knows what does/doesn't apply at this level. Can't even operate on EFL system for substitutions, let alone proper promotion/relegation. Roll on EFL div 3.

Rumours about Dan Ward again. Apparently just started following Latics on instagram 👀

And Doncaster Rovers to be fair although his good friend from Gateshead  Owen Bailey just signed for them.

Whoever is doing this videos deserves a round of applause. They've been excellent.

Everything is on a totally different level. All the signings in this close season have been quality. Love the Legends Lounge. To think where we were only 12 months ago.

Right back potentially coming right up if this is to be believed. Played 101 games for Motherwell in the SPL until end of 2022 season, believe injury played a part in them letting him go. Southend fans full of praise for Hobson “one of the best centre backs in the league”

Was linked with Orient in January. Mainly played right of a back 3, which may be the shape of things to come.

Still like us to sign a left footed CB.

Irrespective of whether Yarney stays, I still believe that we need to sign a top class centre back.

Someone like Shaun Hobson at Southend would fit perfectly 👍

We also need to bring in a specialist right back/wing back if we are serious about winning this league 😃

 Bring on tomorrow 😃

Hobson and Grimshaw are both from the north-west, which might be a bonus i.e. they'll be coming home and getting settled won't be a problem, quite the opposite.

This is really coming together. But if we sign Grimmy we will only have one RB (I'm not counting Windyass) one LW and one RW, which might suggest a 4-3-3 formation, as a few have mentioned?

Nah, I don't like this. There seems to be an actual plan, a strategy even, to the clubs transfer dealings and it's making me deeply unsettled.

Right back and a couple of wingers next please

A right back and that’ll be it I think. Maybe one or two more but we would have to get the majority of the surplus out first I’m sure!

My surplus to requirements list would include:

Leutwiler, Hope, Luamba, Burgess, Tollitt, Shelton, Gardner, McGahey, and Windass who between them will be getting little to no game time and maybe even Rooney too?

There maybe some interest in 2 or 3 of that lot but as for the others I think we’ll be stuck with them until next June unfortunately.
